My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

The Neighborhood We Call Home

OIG Hotline, because of apparent obstruction of my family members' access to security measures at this time, I am making the following letter available on this blog.

Certainly, the FBI's alleged crimes of causing damage to my neighborhood should be objectively evaluated and assessed in direct consultation with me.

In my opinion, it is to the FBI's advantage to support that dialogue as soon as possible.

In the absence of that recognition of our fundamental human rights and the territorial integrity of our nation that underlies them, more input from my community will be required.

I look forward to updating your Office with regard to the progress of this matter.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

Email to: Joe Kavanaugh at Coldwell Banker Realty on January 6, 2026 at 1:59 PM Pacific Time.

Joe, the information within this email represents potentially confidential material.  As such, I would ask all listed recipients here, including Brandon Stovall and the Hxxxxs, to treat the information as sensitive for the time being.  I do not have confirmation of these allegations, and, certainly, it represents a high priority to obtain this documentation.

After some initial facts are obtained, we will certainly need to consider our ethical responsibilities in communicating with the neighborhood as a whole.

I wonder whether the Hxxxxs ever mentioned to you the fact that a government agency is alleged to have disseminated, through repeated and intentional applications, a number of hazardous chemicals in our neighborhood, possibly affecting the Hxxxxs' property.

These chemicals allegedly include, but are not limited to, PBB, hexavalent chromium, neonicotinoids, permethrin, Dioxin and a whole range of other unknown toxins.

Anectdotally, I can attest that I have seen some unusual wildlife deformations, like the antler deformity of the deer pictured in the photos attached.  In addition to this, some of our fruit trees no longer blossom or bear fruit each year, which is highly unusual.

I mention this because the Hxxxxs' formal disclosures regarding their property, associated with their listing the property for sale, were unlike any I had ever seen.

Has environmental testing been done at the property?

I would like to coordinate with the Hxxxxs so that we can undertake environmental testing of our properties in coordination with one another and share our results.  Please note that I have copied the Hxxxxs herewith to ensure that this information reaches them.

Would you please facilitate the testing process?  I know you and Ginny are representing other properties in the neighborhood, so this is a potential concern for all of those listings as well, obviously.

But it seems to me that the Hxxxxs and Mxxxxxxxxxx should join forces to address the intentional harm that may have been perpetrated over the last several years, and then confer on the best path forward.

As a related concern, it has come to my attention that the FBI may have recently initiated various "engineering" projects at a higher elevation on Vista Verde Way.  Because the agency is well aware of the potential for landslide in this area, there is a concern that the FBI's South Bay Chief of Station, who has acted as primary aggressor in this matter, may attempt to "erase" his malfeasance through further damage to the landscape in the form of landslide, or alternatively, wildfire.  Clearly the neighborhood will benefit from assessing the facts of this matter, and not speculating about them.

At the same time, we want to ensure that further damage is not perpetrated by a handful of bad actors within corrupt law enforcement ranks regarding the neighborhood we all cherish and call home.

Thank you for allowing me to formally document these concerns with you.

I will appreciate your prompt recommendations for next steps to verify the safety of our properties, which is certainly in the interests of Coldwell Banker Realty.

Sincerely yours,

Lane MacWilliams
