My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Disinformation Alert

OIG Hotline investigators, I wish to state that my workout room is surrounded by windows, and I am threatened daily with sniper assault.  As a result, I have been unable to exercise aerobically for many months.  In an effort to keep my lungs healthy, I purchased a device on Amazon called the Air Physio, which is simply a handheld breathing challenge.

Today, after using it for the first time, I was threatened with a false accusation of "alternative substance abuse."

To clarify, I do not use illegal substances, nor do I use marijuana for any reason.  Beyond this, I have never used illegal drugs or marijuana.  Not once.

Why has this been my particular choice?

It simply reflects who I am.  I appreciate making choices that respect myself, that respect others, and that respect the rule of law.

Thank you for allowing me to document these details as a "disinformation alert."

I hereby certify that this information is true and correct.

OIG Hotline investigators, the documents posted herewith allow you to speak to four of Graham MacWilliams' health care providers:  Dr. Jacob Ballon, Dr. Kristin Stent, Doug Bodin of the Bodin Group in Los Altos, CA, and Dr. Laurence Katznelson.  Please also reference the Limited Medical Power of Attorney provided in a separate post.  It is my hope that, with these documents in hand, you will be able to fully ascertain FBI/Infragard communications with this group of health care providers.

At issue is the right of law-abiding American citizens to access safe and private medical care, separate and apart from a predatory protocol of far right FBI personnel toward law-abiding "targets of interest" and their family members.

Among the many relevant questions regarding my son's care, the following leap to mind for me:

Should my son have been misdiagnosed by his physicians, ignoring his pituitary disease, in their acquiescence to FBI demands?

Should my son's physicians have been coerced by their FBI handlers to misreport assumptions about the health of my son's family members?

Should my son's right to private and safe medical care have been repeatedly violated by the FBI's unlawful disclosure of his symptoms to others?

Are Michael and Margeret Herzen, together with Kathy Brady, among those to whom unlawful disclosure of my son's medical symptoms was extended by FBI personnel?

Should information about my son's weight for the last two years be willfully withheld from us by Dr. Jacob Ballon at the direction of his FBI handler, given that my son was weighed at each and every appointment?

Should Dr. Ballon and other health care providers acquiesce to FBI demands that they mischaracterize his parents as neglectful or uncaring?

OIG Hotline investigators, there is no question in my view that violations of patient privacy and safety as perpetrated by FBI personnel and affiliates serve to obstruct and delay adequate medical care for "targets of interest" and their families.

Is there anything about such a protocol on the part of far right factions of the FBI that contributes to the security of our nation?

What can we say about FBI personnel who obstruct necessary medical diagnosis and treatment in a circumstance such as this one for the specific purpose of accusing "targets of interest" of mental illness or neglect?

In the interests of the civil liberties and human rights of all Americans, I ask that you ascertain the truth of FBI actions and directives regarding my son's physicians.

In advocating for him properly, I as his parent will seek consultation with trustworthy medical providers who refuse to violate medical ethics even when FBI personnel may direct them to do so.

That advocacy can only occur with our access to the truth of the FBI's engagement in this matter.

Please accept my deep gratitude for your ongoing investigative efforts, which stand of such great import regarding the futures of all of us who love democracy.

With appreciation,

Lane MacWilliams

Update January 30, 2023 at 5:32 PM: Conveyance of Bodycam to OIG Hotline Investigations Division; Videotaping of All Retrieval of Mail Items from Residential Mailbox

January 30, 2023 at 5:32 PM

OIG Hotline investigators, these are the security precautions I have taken to prevent tampering with our locked residential mailbox at 45 Vista Verde Way:

  • security alarms on box
  • numbered security tape sealing key lock
  • motion activated lights
Because I feel it is highly likely the FBI would like to conceal any evidence of the agency's perpetration of falsified law enforcement reporting within AFE's letter to me, it is highly desirable that the letter be securely conveyed to your auspices as soon as possible.

It is not possible for us to safely handle or convey the letter, due to unknown contents.

We will need the assistance of your Office in ensuring that this material is securely conveyed to you.

Until that happens, I am concerned that we remain at risk of yet further aggression perpetrated by far right factions of the FBI in their effort to justify the agency's engagement in knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting for anti-democratic objectives.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

January 29, 2023 at 8:07 PM

OIG Hotline investigators, I have taken multiple security precautions to discourage tampering with our locked residential mailbox.

Even so, it would certainly be desirable for the Investigations Division of the OIG Hotline to take possession of this letter as soon as possible.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

January 29, 2023 at 5:29 PM

OIG Hotline investigators, my husband Ken MacWilliams video recorded his retrieval of all accepted mail from our residential mailbox at 45 Vista Verde Way, Portola Valley, CA. 94028 this afternoon.

After he returned to the house, he communicated to me that there is in fact an AFE letter in our mailbox which matches the photo provided by USPS Informed Delivery service.  That photo is republished here:

It appears that the postal delivery officer did not forward this item to the OIG Hotline Investigations Division, as I requested via a communication taped to our mailbox.

Neither my husband nor I nor anyone in our family can safely handle this letter, in my opinion, due to threats I have received that its contents may be knowingly corrupted in an effort to falsely suggest wrongdoing of some kind on our part.

I have conveyed ownership of this letter to the OIG Hotline investigators, who are welcome to claim possession of it at any time.

Until that happens, this mailing will remain undisturbed in our locked residential mailbox at 45 Vista Verde Way.

If there appears to be any tampering with our locked mailbox or its contents, I will notify the OIG Hotline immediately.

My husband will continue to video record all of his retrieval of accepted mail at our residential address, the documentation of which will be conveyed to your Office on request.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

January 29, 2023

OIG Hotline investigators, my husband will wear a bodycam video camera as he retrieves pieces of acceptable mail from our residential mailbox this afternoon.  It seems that this is the safest approach for us to document our mail retrieval at this time.

This bodycam, together with the micro SD card it contains, is hereby conveyed into the ownership of the Office of the Inspector General Hotline Investigations Division.

I have advised my husband that, if any mail from AFE is present within our mailbox, he cannot accept delivery by bringing any such letter into our home.  He has assured me that he will abide by my request.

To confirm, a letter from AFE, a photograph of which was provided to me by USPS informed delivery service, has been conveyed in ownership to the Office of the Inspector General Hotline Investigations Division.

Mail originating from AFE will not be accepted, retrieved or opened by any member of the MacWilliams family if it has been placed in our residential mailbox.  Should it be present within our residential mailbox at this time, it will have been directed to us by AFE personnel against our express desire and without our consent.

I find Mr. Jim Mellano's emailed comment to me that he was "attending a funeral" on the day this letter was mailed from AFE to be of concern, given that he has made no other personal disclosures to me in any context whatsoever.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct,

Lane MacWilliams

  •  I will be video recording all retrieval of mail items from our residential mailbox at 45 Vista Verde Way, Portola Valley, CA for documentation purposes.  In this way, I hope to verify that neither I nor my family members have accepted delivery of physical mail from AFE.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Addendum: Transfer of Ownership of AFE Letter to OIG Hotline Investigations Division

January 28, 2023

This is to transfer full ownership of the mailing pictured below to the Investigations Division of the Office of the Inspector General Hotline of the U.S. Department of Justice.

The letter pictured herewith has not been taken into possession by me, nor has it been taken into possession by Ken MacWilliams, Graham MacWilliams, or Duncan MacWilliams.

I have attempted to arrange for its forwarding to the OIG Hotline Investigations Division through a request to my U.S. postal delivery carrier, taped to our Portola Valley residence's mailbox yesterday, January 27, 2023 which reads as follows:

The mailing pictured at the beginning of this post appears to have originated from the L.A. Flower Market of the American Florists' Exchange and to be addressed to me, Lane MacWilliams, as recipient.

The photograph of this letter was forwarded to my possession through the USPS Informed Delivery service via email to lanemacwilliams@gmail.com on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 7:19 AM.

Due to the fact that AFE and AFE employee Jim Mellano are signatory to Infragard, and due to the fact that Jim Mellano agreed, out of deference to security concerns, not to send any physical mailing to my home address, the existence of the letter represents a substantive security risk to my family.

The possibility that FBI personnel have specified the contents of this mailing in some manner with the intent of falsely implicating one or more members of my family of wrongdoing cannot be discounted.

A potential objective on the part of the FBI to stage an unjustified law enforcement raid on my family's home or homes as the result of the letter's existence cannot be discounted.

This is to confirm that I reject delivery of this letter.

In addition, this is to confirm that Ken MacWilliams, Graham MacWilliams and Duncan MacWilliams reject delivery of this letter.

To clarify:  full and permanent ownership of this mailing in its entirety is herewith conveyed to the Investigations Division of the Office of the Inspector General Hotline of the U.S. Department of Justice.

This transfer of ownership is made of my own free will and accord.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Update: Ongoing Disinformation About the MacWilliams Family Created by the Far Right

Update:  Question and response #5 have been added to the following dialogue.

*************************************************************************************

1.  The other evening, your son expressed to you some concerns about world safety.

Answer:  CNN had run a segment on the so-called "Doomsday Clock."  It was all very discouraging to me.

2.  Why?

Answer:  Because my stalker was thrilled.  He referred to his disinformation co-hort within FBI Counterintelligence as "shrewd thespians."  My impression is that these people are accustomed to slicing and dicing conversations in order to manufacture complete falsehoods about law-abiding American citizens.

3.  At one point during that conversation, you felt as though you misspoke.

Answer:  That's true.  At one point, I said to my son that my life wasn't particularly peaceful, or that I couldn't acquiesce, or that I couldn't be peaceful about the circumstances the far right has created.

What I really meant to say is that I cannot be passive.

4.  You quickly clarified what you meant for your son, yet you believe your words could be misquoted by far right factions of the FBI.

Answer:  Without question, they could be.

I explained to my son that, to me, peaceful life meant writing my novel, being with my friends, enjoying the life I knew before the far right ever began to prey upon my family.  It was a lovely life.

But the predations of far right FBI personnel have removed that life from me, and I don't anticipate that I will reclaim it without quite a struggle.

In that struggle I am committed to peaceful means.

But the articulation of the actions of criminal FBI agents affiliated with the far right is not a relaxing, meditative endeavor.  It's hard work.

5.  Yet you are committed to engaging in that hard work in order to defend our democracy, both now and in the future.

Answer:  Unequivocally, I am.

6.  Your son feels so poorly on a physical basis right now, he seems to feel he is being impacted by some sort of external radiation.

Answer:  My son has a significant pituitary issue that would make anyone feel quite terrible, I believe.  We're trying to address this privately, safely and promptly, despite what appears to be a degree of obstruction of that process.

But when he sees our cats stumbling and falling down, he draws the conclusion that there's an environmental problem of some kind that may be affecting the health of our family as well.

He has heard me speak of RF radiation, which he may have wrongly interpreted as ionizing radiation.  I pulled out all my gauges in an attempt to reassure him that I didn't believe any ionizing radiation was affecting us.  RF radiation remains a concern, unfortunately, and the gauges bear that out with data.

7.  What is your response to the continuous lies of far right FBI personnel about your family dialogue?

Answer:  My first response is a sense of grief over the loss of free speech for law-abiding American citizens.  That represents a devastating erosion of the right to privacy and the sovereignty of the individual all by itself.

The fact that private conversations may actively be re-edited by corrupt FBI personnel and affiliates to represent dialogue that never occurred --- such crimes as perpetrated by the far right are on a whole different level.

At that point, dystopia has arrived.

8.  Your son may have fears surrounding Putin's aggression in Ukraine and his frightening threats to engage in nuclear aggression in that context.

Answer:  Any thinking person is going to have concerns about Russian aggression in the world, including its affiliation with the far right within the United States.

But that doesn't mean that we personally have any knowledge of risks of such deployment.

We're alongside everyone else in our ignorance of that subject.

9.  You feel frustrated that far right factions are still being allowed to manufacture disinformation about your family.

Answer:  It's incomprehensible to me.

It seems to me that an investigation of falsified law enforcement reporting should not be rendered a "political war" by the far right.  It should simply be a gathering of the facts.

But when those facts are condemnatory of far right factions of the FBI, as I believe to be the case now, the attempt to discredit whistleblowers becomes overwhelming.

10.  In what way overwhelming?

Answer:  There appears to be mail tampering on the part of the far right within the FBI in an attempt to force implicating material into the possession of a "target."  These machinations are quite alarming.

11.  Why?

Answer:  Because great harm can be perpetrated by wayward law enforcement officers in the course of an unjustified law enforcement raid against a whistleblower.  There may not be time for a reasoned, careful evaluation of the facts in such a scenario.

12.  You would like a moratorium on further falsifications of your dialogue with family members, further lies about your communications, your mail, your online activity, etc.

Answer:  I am entirely law abiding, as is my husband, as are my sons.

So, yes, the falsifications need to be halted altogether in order for us to reclaim our lives as law-abiding American citizens.

13.  Your stalker has seemed to suggest that your FOIA request will soon be fulfilled without omissions or redactions.  What is your response to that possibility?

Answer:  Great hope that it's true.

14.  Do you hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct?

Answer:  I do.

Request that U.S. Postal Officer Forward AFE Letter to OIG Hotline Investigations Division

OIG Hotline investigators, I have affixed the following message to my U.S.P.S. postal carrier to my mailbox.

If your personnel have the ability to take possession of this mailing prior to FBI affiliates gaining control of the letter, I believe it may be materially helpful to the progress of your investigation.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

UPDATE: Documentation of Email Communications with AFE's Jim Mellano

UPDATE:

OIG Hotline investigators, please be informed that AFE's Jim Mellano provided me with a "dead link" to an alleged 1099-B form this morning.  His email, and the attendant link appeared exactly as pictured by screenshot below.

At the same time, I received from USPS Informed Delivery a notification that a physical letter from AFE was due to arrive in my mailbox today.  When I attempted to email Jim Mellano about this, my computer was immediately cut off from Wifi access.

In alarm, I called my husband, and requested that he email Mr. Mellano on my behalf.  As soon as his email to Mr. Mellano was complete, my computer's Wifi access was immediately restored.

What do I suspect?

I suspect that AFE, being signatory to Infragard, has sent falsely implicating material through AFE's tax documentation letter, scheduled to arrive in my mailbox today.

I will not be taking possession of this mailing.

I believe that to do so would be to risk aggressive law enforcement action on the basis of knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting represented by the letter's contents.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Re: AFE Communications to Be Extended to Lane MacWilliams Via Email Only

Jim, as you know, for security reasons, I have requested that all communications from AFE be extended to me through email only.

You have appeared to agree to accommodate this request, which I appreciate.

To remind you, I include below my emails to you on Monday, January 9, 2023 and Saturday, January 21, 2023, both of which state that I can no longer received hard-copy materials from AFE.

Having said that, I see through my "USPS Informed Delivery" service, that a mailing including tax documentation of some kind from AFE is due to arrive in my mailbox today.

Please see the photo, here attached, as it was provided to me by the U.S. Postal Service via email this morning.

Jim, I do realize that AFE is signatory to Infragard.  Further, it appears that certain FBI personnel have attempted to falsely implicate me of criminal activity by mailing to me unknown information to be utilized as false evidence of a crime of which I have no knowledge.

As a result, I cannot accept any physical mailing from AFE.

AFE's letter will be "returned to sender" without being taken into my household or into my possession.

Please understand the seriousness of this matter.

My safety and that of my family members are placed at risk when AFE sends me communications through the mail.

I respectfully ask for AFE's immediate review regarding the manner in which this error occurred.

Again, I am requesting AFE's cooperation in ensuring my safety at this time, given the rather unusual circumstances of my standing as a whistleblower of extensive FBI corruption of the Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative and the FBI's affiliated "target of interest" program.

I will appreciate your and AFE's active and ethical engagement in extending to me the safeguards I have requested regarding limiting AFE's communications to email only.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter,

Lane MacWilliams

Jim, I need to follow up with an important detail:

I respectfully request that the tax documentation and all future communications from AFE be sent to see via email, and not through the U.S. postal service, UPS, FedEx, or other means of hard copy delivery.

I will confirm email receipt promptly.

This is a security precaution, and I appreciate your honoring this request.

Thank you very much,

Lane MacWilliams

Jim, this is a quick reminded that I have requested emailed delivery only of tax documentation regarding the sale of AFE shares.

Again, due to security measures required of me at this time, I request that AFE not utilize U.S. postal service, UPS, FedEx, or other means of hard copy delivery of tax documentation.

All communications from AFE now and in the future should be extended by email only.

I ask that you convey this request to all AFE personnel in ensuring that my security be adequately safeguarded at this time.

I have not yet received emailed tax documentation of my sale of AFE shares, but I would appreciate your forwarding this electronic communication to me at your earliest possible convenience.

Thank you very much for your support in this matter.

Re: Lane MacWillams 1099-B

Jim, I need to emphasize to both you and AFE that IRS rules need to be followed with regard to AFE's electronic provision of a 1099-B.

Again, please ensure that AFE follow all IRS rules, specified below, which include that certain notifications be provided to me in advance of the provision of the 1099-B.

I will appreciate AFE's completing of required advance notifications by 5:00 PM today.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter,

Lane MacWilliams

Addendum: Transfer of Ownership of Documents, Electronic Devices, Cell Phones, and Evidence to OIG Hotline Investigations Division

OIG Hotline Investigations Division, I have a total of four iPhones and four AT&T phones that I will convey into your possession for the purposes of your investigation.  In addition to the three iPhones phones already conveyed to your ownership (including 415-963-1467), I am hereby transferring ownership of the following five cell phones pictured here:

In seeking advocacy at various stages concerning my quest for fulfillment of my Freedom of Information Act request, I continued to hope to establish secure communications.

This long line of phones serves to demonstrate how profoundly law-abiding Americans hope to be free of predatory surveillance by far right factions of the FBI.

If one was fortunate enough to have grown up with freedom of speech, the right to privacy, freedom of assembly, a free press, one wants to re-claim those rights.

Surveillance technology must not overtake the principles which define our freedoms.

The human spirit transcends attempts at totalitarian control of its potential.

I continue to believe that we are more defined by our hopes than by their delayed fulfillment.

If the evidence contained on these phones can help to protect our democracy from those on the far right who prefer autocratic governance, this striving will have been my privilege.
