My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Updated: HRT

The answer to question #11 has been updated.

************************************************************************************

1.  You have been informed that the FBI has re-engaged in predations toward your family by deploying HRT personnel.  Is that correct?

Answer:  I don't know whether the FBI leadership has done so.  HRT was recently brought to my attention, however, so this is a concern.  If Christopher Wray has deployed HRT personnel in this circumstance, I believe that choice would run counter to his directives from the Executive Branch.

As I've said before, I'm not someone with a military background.  All of the information that has been extended to me concerning special forces is new to me.

I must reiterate that my family is entirely law-abiding.  The idea that round after round of special forces personnel would be tasked with assailing my family is beyond all justification -- and further, beyond all reason.

I am a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance in the form of the agency's engagement in knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting for anti-democratic objectives.

That makes me a patriot, not a national security risk.

2.  How extensive is this issue of falsified law enforcement reporting?  Do you believe that other countries have law enforcement entities that may have engaged in these crimes, perhaps at the directive of FBI personnel, or perhaps at the directive of FBI affiliates?

Answer:  It appears likely that this issue is international in scope, unfortunately. Patterns of falsified reporting would certainly need to be evaluated to determine similarities in these crimes as perpetrated by law enforcement agencies of different nations.  And, certainly, communications with FBI personnel and the leadership of foreign security services would need to be closely examined.

3.  Is it your belief that the dollar flows connected to falsified law enforcement reporting within the United States alone involves billions in yearly congressional budget appropriations?

Answer:  It is.

4.  Returning to HRT for a moment, do you have concerns about the potential deployment of this group?

Answer:  I do.  FBI Director Christopher Wray appears to be unrepentant about his personnel's perpetration of falsified law enforcement reporting for anti-democratic objectives toward the law-abiding American public. The crimes committed by far right segments of his agency are not accidental or happenstance.  They are by design.

Rather than acknowledging his failures of leadership, FBI Director Christopher Wray appears to be committed to silencing me as a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance.

5.  Many of his actions appear to be taken in contravention of the directives of more senior agencies, such as the ODNI.

Answer:  Well, I think that characterizes the risks of this moment.  FBI Director Christopher Wray may feel that he is not required to abide by anyone else's directives, nor by the articles and amendments of the Constitution, in furthering his bid for autocratic control.

6.  What provides you with the greatest chance of restraining his aggression toward your family?

Answer:  I think the greatest chance of forcing Christopher Wray to give more respect to the Constitution and the rule of law exists within articulating the truth.

I am a law-abiding American citizen, deeply concerned about the future of our democracy based on the very crimes his agency has been committing against honorable members of the American electorate.

I don't think the FBI should be answering the charge of falsified law enforcement reporting with yet further falsified law enforcement reporting.

7.  What does HRT stand for?

Answer:  It apparently stands for Hostage Rescue Team, which strikes me as a great irony.

8.  Why is that?

Answer:  Who can one call when the American electorate has been taken hostage by far right factions of the FBI which are engaged in knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting for anti-democratic objectives?

9.  In a very real sense, it is the FBI leadership which has taken the democracy hostage in its quest for totalitarian control over the populace.

Answer:  Yes, far right segments of the FBI have taken us all hostage, and they've done so in quite a clandestine way.

10.  Can we free ourselves from the FBI's malfeasance?

Answer:  Only if we're quite public about the problems the agency has created.  Only if we're quite courageous in illuminating the predations of the far right as manifested by law enforcement entities within the United States.

11.  After SEAL Team 6, JSOC, JTF2, and HRT, are there any another special forces teams you will need to worry about?

Answer:  The acronyms seem endless, so I'm sure the answer is yes.  The American public has poured tax dollars into the training and development of the personnel within these teams.  I'm sure they're highly skilled and possess the best equipment and the latest technology.

Yet, our Constitution calls for civilian control of the military.

FBI Director Christopher Wray is answerable to our esteemed President Joseph R. Biden, and if he is failing to observe that chain of command, he deserves to be called to account for that failure in a public context.

12.  What would you say to FBI Director Christopher Wray if you were standing in the same room with him?

Answer:  I would respectfully remind him of the necessity of transparency and accountability of the FBI as a federal law enforcement agency committed to upholding our democracy.  Christopher Wray has attempted to excuse the FBI's prevarications by saying that the FBI has undertaken a dual role that encompasses both law enforcement and national security in recent years.  But nothing is secure about our nation when far right factions of the FBI are preying upon the law-abiding citizenry with knowingly falsified law-enforcement reporting.

13.  Given that your husband is away attending a conference and you and your son are at home alone, will you be safe in the face of this latest threat involving HRT deployment?

Answer:  I can only hope that by posting the truth here, my family may be afforded a modicum of safety at this time.

*************************************************************************************

The FBI is a deeply divided agency.  There are many FBI employees who view their vows to the Constitution with the utmost seriousness and honor, and who strive to defend the fundamentals of our democracy with courage, fortitude and commitment.  The fact that some segments of the FBI appear to have embraced a lawless course is not a justification to assail the FBI in general.  The safety of FBI agents should be protected, just as the safety of the American citizenry should be protected.  As President Joseph R. Biden has so rightly expressed, violence is never justified in any circumstance.  The rule of law must always be honored and upheld.  It is our shared determination to preserve the civil liberties and human rights of ALL AMERICANS that renders the United States a democracy.  We must never abandon this promise.  All of our most cherished freedoms depend upon it.
