My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Respect Where Respect Is Due

OIG Hotline, at 7:23 PM Pacific time, I sent your Office an email with the subject heading ATTN: OIG HOTLINE Re: Attestation of Confidence by KPM.

The content of the text exchange between my husband and myself regarding this subject is as follows:

LM to KPM: Kxx, I'm pleased that you have confirmed my right to my perspective regarding Dxxxxx's circumstances, which are by no means his own fault. Your confirmation of my powers of reasoning, my cogency, my stability and my impressive resilience in the face of adversity is important from many points of view, and not least as a measure of your enduring respect for my judgment and my insight. Thank you for your confidence in me as your wife, as an insightful mother to our children, and as a person of great substance and courage in the wider world.

KPM to LM: You have my respect and my love Darling Person. You have been a supportive, fiercely loving parent to our children, and a person of reason and insight.

LM to KPM: Thank you for your confidence in me, Kxx. I appreciate your truthful support, and your trust in my ability and my judgment.

Please let there be no more questions about my psychological stability and resilience. It may be a miracle that I am as profoundly resolute and determined to support the sovereignty of our nation and our citizens as I am. But that stalwart commitment is not a delusion, a psychosis, a myth or a dream. It is a necessity on which every worthy leader's hopes for our country rely.

I ask that there be no further attempts to say that those Americans of great fortitude and commitment to our nation have lost their minds. This type of defamation is an insult to Americans' joint endeavor to build and rebuild a community of trust, talent, truthfulness and hope for the future.

And we do not need to rely on the FBI's misogynistic tropes that lean toward accusations of histrionics, mental instability, and promiscuity toward every talented woman who comes into view. This is outdated bias that is mostly shocking for its primitive regression to a time when women were not uncommonly institutionalized if they possessed a valuable inheritance and insufficiently loyal male relatives.

I happen to have only had one intimate partner over my lifetime as of this writing, that of my honorable husband of the last thirty five years. But if I had had two or ten, I believe my character and integrity would be the same.

Let's insist on better conduct from the FBI and its affiliates with regard to its knowingly false accusations about highly honorable women, and let's do so right away, please.
