My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

New Emails for the OIG Hotline

OIG Hotline, please be apprised of two new emails sent to your attention within lanemacwilliams@gmail.com, with copies sent to lmacwilliams77419@gmail..com and lmacwilliams7417@gmail.com, bearing the following subject headings and date/time stamps:

  • ATTN: OIG HOTLINE Re: Fwd: Urgent Request for Assistance Regarding Necessary Intervention in PAMF Physician Dr. Scott Matthews' Case; sent on December 14, 2023 at 2:14 PM Pacific time
  • ATTN: OIG HOTLINE Re:Fwd: (ActBlue) Confirmation of refund; sent on December 14, 2023 at 11:34 AM
Please be apprised that the first email listed here consists of an urgent request for intervention from PAMF's Bioethics Team, not of your Office.  Having said that, its contents may be material to the OIG Hotline's ongoing discussions with the FBI.

The second communication contains important new information regarding apparently ongoing diversion of funds in a context previously disclosed to your Office.

As you know, the OIG Hotline has my full permission to access my email accounts at any time your Office so desires.

With abiding gratitude,

Lane MacWilliams
