My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Email Concerning Recent FBI Communications with Walkup Law

OIG Hotline, I suspect that neither I nor my family members will qualify for whistleblower protections unless and until I become an employee of the federal government.

Without these protections, it seems as though something as simple as an impartial legal or medical consultation is unavailable to us.

Perhaps I ought to start preparing my resume as a path forward.

In the meantime, I remain extremely concerned for the welfare of my son and his girlfriend.  If your Office is able to give them some wise guidance in the face of the pressures they are receiving from the FBI at this time, I'm certain that would assist them.

To complicate matters, it appears that my son is being coerced by Txx Lxxxx to provide falsified witness statements concerning my attempts to assist them at this time.

Thank you for your engagement in this matter,

Lane MacWilliams

Re:  ATTN: Walkup Law Re: MacWilliams Case

To the Attention of Walkup Law Office:

I referred my son, xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx, to your Office this morning in the hope that you might assist him -- along with his partner xxxx xxxxxxxx -- in obtaining whistleblower protections of some kind.

My impression previously was that federal whistleblower protections extended only to employees of the federal government, sos we need clarification on this point.

I stand as a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance in the form of the agency's perpetration of knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting for anti-democratic objectives.

My case is the subject of an investigation on the part of the Office of the Inspector General Hotline of the U.S. Department of Justice, and the attorney who represents us will likely have access to those findings.  Please be apprised that those investigators have access to all of my communications, including this one.

Before I can begin to delve into the specifics of this case, or speak with your attorneys at length over the phone, I must disclose that I am informed that your Office has been in direct communication with FBI personnel.

My family needs legal advocacy at this time, but we need it in a manner that upholds all aspects of attorney/client privilege and avoidance of conflict of interest.  We cannot allow a circumstance in which our attorneys are filing witness statements concerning our consultations.  So, the FBI and Infragard notwithstanding, we need to consult with attorneys who are willing to uphold all obligations to the California State Bar in each and every interaction with us.

The FBI typically recruits attorneys through false invocations of the Espionage Act or the Patriot Act.  Generally, they attempt to portray 'targets of interest" as mentally unstable, unreliable testifiers to events, irrational, etc.  Unfortunately, when it comes to female "targets of interest,' the FBI often attempts to obtain false witness statements alleging promiscuity and predatory behavior.

My son and xxxx xxxxxxxx, as perhaps they have disclosed, are allegedly evaluating a settlement offer from the FBI after suffering great harm through the agency's initiatives.

I believe that he and xxxx could benefit from a consultation with you, if you are able to provide a guarantee in writing of your strict adherence to the regulations of the California State Bar, meaning you will turn away FBI overtures which suggest that you violate attorney/client privilege and/or conflict of interest provisions.

If such a written assurance is provided, my husband and I would like to consult with you as well.

If your Office has already become signatory to Infragard, we need some recommendations for the means of obtaining ethical, impartial representation in this matter.

Thank you for getting back to me in writing by return email with regard to these immediate concerns.
