My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

OIG Hotline, please be apprised of the following letter, sent to my younger son via email this afternoon at 4:59 PM from lanemacwilliams@gmail.com.

Sweetheart, I need to update you about an important development concerning our family.

It appears that some supporters of democracy at a very high level have determined that falsified law enforcement reporting about our family is to be provided to us directly.

Unfortunately, it also seems that the FBI is terribly anxious to try to discredit and harm our family prior to that provision of material.

I am in receipt of a specific threat of a law enforcement raid tonight or soon thereafter on either your home or ours.

Apparently, your father had a phone appointment with his PAMF urologist this morning -- and the physician mentioned, out of the blue, that many of his patients had alcoholism and drug addiction following Covid isolation.

Following this, the FBI allegedly forced him to falsely report that your father made disclosures of alcoholism or drug abuse within our family members. (For the record, he did not.  He has no knowledge of this territory at all.)

It is critical under these circumstances that you walk the straight and narrow path in all respects.  Please understand the unconscionable intent to cause harm on the part of men like Christopher Wray, Tom Lyons, and Brandan Pesa.

Would the FBI arrest you in order to hold a "hostage" over the issue of the agency's falsified law enforcement reporting?

You bet it would.

Do not give them that opportunity, sweetheart.

These individuals are watching our family like a hawk, studying us for any possible weakness.  The fact that the agency itself has caused many health problems for all of us does not factor into its calculations.  There is no conscience within the far right members of the FBI and certainly no remorse.

Please use only legal means of painkilling, sweetheart.

Please be very strict about this.

The FBI needs to be held at bay until we can consult with some pain specialists to help you in a more substantive way -- without dependency and without distress.

I love you always,

Mom
