My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Important New Emails for the OIG Hotline

OIG Hotline, please be apprised of two new emails sent to your attention within lanemacwilliams@gmail.com, with copies sent to lmacwilliams77419@gmail.com and lmacwilliams7417@gmail.com, bearing the following subject headings and date/time stamps:

  • ATTN: OIG HOTLINE Re: Texts to FBI/CIA Contractor "Ken" of "KLC Lawn"; sent at 3:10 PM Pacific time
  • ATTN: OIG HOTLINE Re: Fwd: ATTN: MPIUA Board of Directors; sent at 3:47 PM Pacific time
Due to the fact that these emails pertain to a time-sensitive matter, it is my hope that your Office will be able to access these communications as soon as possible.

Because the FBI has shifted some contractors to CIA auspices, it may be appropriate for the ODNI to be apprised of these concerns with a request for protective intervention.

As you know, the OIG Hotline has my full permission to access my emails at any time your Office so desires.

With abiding appreciation,

Lane MacWilliams
