My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Safety Concern: Notification of Alternate Plumber from Bayshore

OIG Hotline, I just learned that my husband received a text from Bayshore Plumbers this afternoon, appearing to replace plumber Jokson Larios with plumber Juan Argueta.  We have no knowledge of the reason for this substitution, but I am informed that there may be an attempt by the FBI to evade accountability for planned harms by altering the personnel assigned to visit our home tomorrow.

A screenshot of the text my husband received on his cell phone follows here:

My stalker appears to convey that far right FBI personnel are still attempting to perpetrate harm toward our family through the installation of a new hot water heater.

I believe we need your ongoing help to navigate this circumstance safely.

Thank you most sincerely for your efforts to intervene further on our behalf.

Lane MacWilliams

Jokson Larios of Bayshore Plumbers

OIG Hotline, Mr. Jokson Larios of Bayshore Plumbers is scheduled to visit our residence in Portola Valley tomorrow between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Contact information for Bayshore Plumbers is as follows:

3158 Rolison Road, Redwood City, CA

(650) 323-6464

I would appreciate your communicating with Bayshore Plumbers to ensure our safety if this is possible for you.

With gratitude for your presence,

Lane MacWilliams

Please note:  This documentation is being posted from the FedEx Store on El Camino Real in Mountain View.

I left my home at 10:52 AM this morning due solely to the fact that my internet access was blocked, apparently by close-range signal jamming.

I initially experienced close vehicle tracking by a black Toyota sedan with California plates 7LMM975, the numbers of which were largely blocked from view by a large Thule bike rack.  When I stopped on the shoulder of Ramona Rd., the black Toyota also stopped, although it was ahead of me.  When I proceeded, the driver proceeded.

As a result, I waited at the top of Los Trancos Road until the path seemed clear.

After that, I traveled to the Portola Valley Public Library.  On parking in a secluded area at the back of the building, I encountered five Woodside Fire Prevention District employees, who were waiting by two large Fire Department vehicles and a wood chipper.  These men were utterly unoccupied.  There was no wood for them to chip.  They were simply standing idle, watching my vehicle come to a stop.  Given the number of men, and the fact that they appeared to be completely unoccupied, with no prospect of legitimate work in sight, I left the Library parking lot and traveled to this Fed Ex location.

I will be traveling home directly from here.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Safety Concerns Due to Burst of Water Heater at 45 Vista Verde Way

OIG Hotline, over the last month, my stalker has appeared to repeatedly suggest that there has been a contamination of our water supply.

He has alternately suggested heavy metal contamination, pathogen contamination, and contamination with solvents that are toxic enough to ruin plumbing and cause environmental hazard.

Yesterday, our water heater burst, an unusual event given that it is only six years old.

I have noted many Cal Water trucks close to our home on Vista Verde Way over the course of the past month, but I don't know the cause for their presence.

Right now, I am concerned about the unlawful actions this company may have perpetrated against my family at the direction of the FBI.

Most pressingly, we now need to purchase a new water heater and sustain the risk of allowing a plumber/installer into our home.

In what way can gas water heaters be altered to cause hazardous EMF exposures to residents of a home?  I have no idea.

In what way can gas water heaters be altered to cause environmental or toxic exposures to residents of a home?  I have no idea.

In what way can gas water heaters be altered or improperly installed to cause explosion and/or fire at a home?  I have no idea.

But my stalker has threatened all of these dire outcomes if I do not cease my ethical stance as a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance in the form of falsified law enforcement reporting against the law-abiding American public.

I believe the best course of action at this time would be for me to post on this blog the name and contact information of our plumber/installer and the details of the new water tank and its manufacturer as soon as these are known.

I will continue to measure EMF levels within our residence at all hours.

We will likely require a degree of protective intervention to ensure that this water heater installment is conducted safely and securely, and that the heater itself has not been altered or tampered with.

Certainly, the installers should not be placing a source of hazardous EMF within our residence.

Beyond this, we will need some defense against falsified witness statements by one or more strangers whom we allow into our home at this juncture in order manage the installation.

Longer term, it would seem that recent communications between the Bear Gulch District staff of Cal Water and FBI personnel might be revelatory.

Your support will likely be protective on all of these fronts.

On behalf of my family, please allow me to express our gratitude for your presence and your efforts in addressing our fundamental safety within our home,

Documenting March 30, 2023 Details at FedEx and UPS

OIG Hotline investigators, this is to document that, yesterday afternoon at the FedEx Store in Mountain View (1935 W. El Camino Real), from which I faxed two affidavits to your Office, two strangers approached me.

On one occasion, a woman who appeared to be in her thirties -- well-dressed and apparently well-educated -- presented herself as someone who had no idea how to use a copy machine and asked for my help.  I apologized in refusing her.

On another occasion, a man seated at a computer terminal next to me stated "Excuse me..."  I declined to answer him and left the store shortly afterwards.

I must state that it is difficult to turn away people ostensibly seeking help.

I am a benevolent person.

Certainly, the FBI knows this about me by now.

But my assessment is that the risks of falsified law enforcement reporting in my speaking to strangers is astronomically high at the moment.

To forestall even the potential of falsified reporting by these two individuals, my activity at the copy machine involved preparing a fresh set of affidavits for a second notary, following my experience at UPS, where I was asked to sign an extensive waiver that could have voided the first notarization's validity. (Please see my email to UPS, below)

My activity at the computer involved updating my blog and checking my email and Amazon.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Re: Please refund my transaction today.

UPS Store 0865, I regret that I was unable to properly review your notary waiver form today.  The form was not provided in hard copy written form, and it was not readable online.

I do not believe it was ethical of UPS to present this document to me after notarizing my documents with a demand that I sign under duress without an opportunity to review the contents.  Your staff told me I would not be allowed to leave the store without signing this waiver.

I do not believe this meets legal standards.

As a result, I ask that you cancel my transaction with your store today, involving two notarizations of affidavits.

My waiver of UPS liability is hereby null and void.

I will follow up with my credit card company to ensure that this charge has been refunded.

If the refund fails to be registered, I will file a fraud claim with my credit card company.

Thank you for your assistance with this matter.  These documents were properly notarized later in the day with a notary who was prepared to stand by her commission.

Lane MacWilliams

************************************************************************************

Commentary:  OIG Hotline investigators, to confirm, my affidavits were later notarized by a Notary Public in Santa Clara County who followed lawful procedure, no liability waivers involved.

The affidavits that were faxed to you were lawfully executed.

I believe that UPS, on the other hand, was attempting to -- as a signatory to Infragard -- invalidate notarized documents after the fact.

This represents an astonishing betrayal of the public trust.

I have never before been asked by a Notary Public in any setting to sign a liability waiver relating to notarized documents.

I found this experience to be highly irregular, physically threatening -- given three UPS employees' statements that I would not be allowed to leave the store without signing the waiver -- and likely unlawful.

The offending UPS Store, #0865, is located at 405 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, and the phone number is 650-326-4415.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

OIG Hotline investigators, pictured below is the white van that trespassed onto my property last night at 4:30 AM. I was only able to see the first two numbers of the license plate last night.  As you see here, the full plate is 58530T2.  This vehicle was parked this evening at 160 Vista Verde Way, Portola Valley.

A young man -- perhaps in his late twenties -- driving a small grey Toyota pickup truck entered this driveway immediately prior to my taking these photos.

I believe that the trespass, combined with specific threats I have received pertaining to the deployment of a DEW referred to as "the thrower" or "the probe," corresponds to a plan of physical harm toward my family as perpetrated by FBI affiliates.

I would very much appreciate your assistance in ascertaining more about the deployment of this vehicle, in addition to the driver of the dark grey Toyota pickup truck, currently residing at 160 Vista Verde Way.

Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide in safeguarding my family at this time,

Lane MacWilliams

4:30 AM Trespass at 45 Vista Verde Way

OIG Hotline investigators, this is to document the presence of a large white van on our property at 4:30 AM this morning, in total darkness.

This vehicle bypassed our "No Trespassing Signs," in addition to an obstructive driveway barrier.

When I observed it parked next to our residence, the van lights suddenly came on and it rapidly pulled away, climbing our steep driveway and leaving the property.

Due to the fact that I have received many threats from FBI affiliates pertaining to deployment of van/truck-mounted DEW, alternately called "the thrower" and "the probe," I believe this trespass should be viewed seriously.

I believe the FBI has placed unlawful surveillance devices within our home, and knows where we sleep within our residence, compounding our vulnerability to predatory actors affiliated with the agency.

The FBI leadership appears to be incapable of admitting fault or wrongdoing, in my observation.  Far right segments of this agency appear to feel confident that they can act with impunity, that they cannot be caught or held accountable for harming law-abiding American citizens, and that they will suffer no consequences whatsoever for their crimes.

Isn't it time that we proved them wrong?

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

Request for Follow Up with Gansett Trustees

OIG Hotline investigators, I hope you will speak to Jim Ware and his fellow Gansett Trustees, Margaret Flanagan, Stephen Sawyer, and Jeannine Jeffrey, and former Trustee Peter Jeffrey. Their cooperation with the FBI has been central to the agency's multiple schemes of forced property divestment concerning my family home -- to the detriment of all involved.

For the sake of all Americans who hope to exercise their right to own private property, your efforts to illuminate this particular predation on the part of the far right are critical.

Please see my email to Jim Ware, below, addressing a portion of Gansett Trustees' malfeasance at the directives of far right FBI personnel.

Thank you very much for your determined fact-finding over this issue.

With appreciation,

Lane MacWilliams

Re:  Formal Requests of the Gansett Trustees

Jim, I have recently reviewed the Amendments of the updated Trust Agreement, in addition to the Trust Agreement itself.

As you know, I did not sign the updated Trust Agreement.

Given the actions of certain Trustees, I believe that decision to be significant.  Without questions, it bears on the liability of individual Trustees in their agreements with the FBI and their compensation from Infragard in return for actions as Trustees which conflict with the primary purpose of the Trust.

It appears that my interests as a Beneficiary of the Gansett Trust may not have been properly protected by the Trustees.  Further, individual Trustees may have actively profited by undermining my interests.  If so, this is an ethical problem for the Trust, and it is a legal problem for both the Trust and the Trustees, whom I may hold to individual account.

The manner in which last year's annual meeting was managed without electronic access for Beneficiaries at a distance, the meeting's content notwithstanding, represented a regrettable choice on the part of the Trustees.

The Trustees are responsible for providing to all Beneficiaries accurate and complete minutes of that meeting, without exception.  I expect to receive them without omission or redaction, secrecy agreements notwithstanding.

Trustees are not to receive remuneration for their services in the management of the Trust.  yet I am informed that multiple Ganseett Trustees have accepted compensation through Infragard in return for directives extended by corrupt FBI personnel.

It's not merely that this represents ethically problematic behavior.  This represents criminal behavior, intended to contribute to forced property divestment as directed by the FBI.

If these objectives raise concerns in your mind regarding active and knowing violations of the Constitution, they should.

I am informed that the FBI worked with the Trustees and their attorneys to restate and amend the Gansett Trust Agreement for the express purpose of protecting individual Trustees from liability for misconduct in following FBI directives.

Given that goal, I'm certain my refusal to sign the document on ethical grounds served as a surprise.

Jim, the Trustees are, in fact, individually liable to me for their actions.

I am making a few formal requests of the Trustees at this time:

1.  I ask to be assisted in accessing the 2023 Annual Meeting via Zoom or open phone line.  My ability to travel freely has been limited by physical threats from FBI affiliates due to my conscientious stance as a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance.  These threats have not been hypothetical.  Given that I am holding firm in defense of the civil liberties and human rights of all Americans, I think my request for long-distance access to this meeting is reasonable.  The Trustees have sufficient time to make any necessary accommodations.

2.  I request that the matter of conflict of interest for Trustees and the Trust  through the unwarranted and unlawful actions of third parties, in this case the FBI, be added to the agenda for open discussion at the 2023 Annual Meeting.  I ask to activity participate in the discussion of this agenda item.

3.  I request to inspect agreements entered into between the Trust and the FBI, and individual Trustees and the FBI.  I further request to inspect agreements entered into between the Trust and Infragard, and individual Trustees and Infragard.

4.  I request that any and all special assessments be delivered to see via email to the following addresses: lanemacwilliams@gmail.com, lmacwilliams77419@gmail.com, and lmacwilliams7417@gmail.com.  I request immediate notification of any Trust assessments of which I may be unaware.

5.  I request that all Trustees engage in full disclosure of FBI communications and directives to the Investigations Division of the Office of the Inspector General Hotline of the U.S. Department of Justice, which is actively reviewing the FBI's crimes in this case.  I ask that Trustees preserve all evidence of those communications, including cell phone devices utilized to facilitate them.

Jim, the reason the far right's bid for totalitarian control over our country has persisted for as long as it has is due to one primary problem:  secrecy.

John F. Kennedy observed, quite rightly, that secrecy was in all ways opposed to democracy -- and that its threats to a free society should never be underestimated or ignored.

The Gansett Trust can only operate with integrity if its members insist on transparency, accountability, and the truth.

The same is true of our beloved country.

I believe our neighborhoods and our nation are worthy of our insistence on the highest principles regarding our conduct toward one another.

I hope you will agree.

Lane MacWilliams

Re: San Mateo County Liability in #PLN2022-00333

Dear Attorney Silberman:

Please be aware that I have provided the Investigations Division of the Office of the Inspector General Hotline of the U.S. Department of Justice with a notarized affidavit, here attached as a PDF file ending in 005271, concerning San Mateo County's pursuit of #PLN2022-00333 despite the County's full knowledge of this project having been initiated by corrupt FBI personnel.  The MROSD application associated with this project was filed fraudulently under a fake identity of "Bryan Apple."

Given the liabilities the County and certain County personnel have already incurred in this matter, I believe it would represent the wisest course of action for #PLN2022-00333 to be withdrawn.

That choice remains at San Mateo County's discretion at this time.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter,

Lane MacWilliams

Father/Son Basketball Game

OIG Hotline, my husband called me recently to confess that he purchased tickets for tonight's Warriors basketball game at Chase Center in San Francisco in order to take our younger son to this event.

Perhaps the faxes I re-sent earlier today will assist in mitigating the pressure Duncan has been experiencing from his wayward FBI handler.

No son should have to fear his FBI handler's demands that he lie about his own parent.

And no parent should be forced to endure those lies as a threat to his life and the lives of his family members.

Yet, the far right has forced many losses upon Americans, and these are only two of the many they have caused for our family.

Out of an abundance of caution, I have requested that my husband document this event in its entirety.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Details of the Wider World

1.  How were you able to go to FedEx unaccompanied today?

Answer:  My husband connected four car cameras to my vehicle last night, and I was wearing a body camera as well.

2.  Did you have any problems sending faxes from the FedEx in Menlo Park?

Answer:  Yes, my first three attempts were obstructed due to "technical difficulties."  Only after much persistence did the fax begin to transmit successfully.

3.  Did you keep the transmission confirmation?

Answer:  Yes.  Here it is:

4.  Was there anything else unusual about your excursion today?

Answer:  After I sent the fax to the OIG Hotline, I signed onto one of FedEx's computers, checked my emails and blog, and then signed into Amazon.

5.  Were there red flags in that process?

Answer:  There were many notifications that my accounts were not private and that someone could be attempting to steal my personal information.

6.  What did you take that to mean?

Answer:  That I really couldn't spend time relaxing in a public space -- that there might be pressing safety and security concerns.

7.  Did you notice anything unusual when you left FedEx?

Answer:  When I walked out of the store at 1194 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, a female Menlo Park police officer was waiting in her vehicle at a red light on the cross street Oak Grove Ave.

8.  What caught your attention about that?

Answer:  She appeared to be actively trying to shield her face from my view.

9.  In what way?

Answer:  She seemed to be aware of my location at the same time that she was covering her face with her left hand.

10.  Did you take down any identifying information as a result of that odd behavior?

Answer:  Her license plate was California 552853.

11.  What exactly happened to you yesterday when you were returning home on Los Trancos Rd.?

Answer:  It appeared as though there was an attempt to create a staged car accident. An eighteen-wheel truck was abandoned in my lane immediately around a hairpin turn, at the same time that a woman in a white sedan was tailgating me.  To my left, twenty feet up a driveway, there was a pedestrian spotter/witness I had seen before.

Soon, a PG&E truck came speeding down the road behind me in the wrong lane.  It seemed that any kind of collision could have resulted in a catastrophic accident due to that third factor.

12.  Who was the bystander you had seen before?

Answer:  The man who appeared at my door one day falsely claiming to be a PG&E employee named Sarah Morrone.

13.  Was "Sarah Morrone" an actual PG&E employee?

Answer:  No, he wasn't.

14.  And you saw him standing in a by-road yesterday, apparently determined to witness a crash.

Answer:  Yes.

15.  How were you ultimately able to pass the abandoned eighteen wheeler safely?

Answer:   A small truck sped around it in the oncoming lane, so I quickly tucked in behind that driver.

16.  After you passed the eighteen wheeler, what happened?

Answer:  A bright red EMT vehicle from the Woodside Fire Protection District passed me, heading downhill toward the site of the near-accident.

17.  Were its emergency lights on?

Answer:  No, but it was traveling briskly, nonetheless.

18.  You have received many threats relating to morphine overdose administered by EMT personnel, haven't you?

Answer:  Yes, I have.

19.  What else happened?

Answer:  There was a white truck with its hazard lights on parked at the right shoulder.  I had the feeling this vehicle was a spotter, so I pulled in behind it.

20.  And what happened?

Answer:  The driver immediately fled.

21.  You originally thought this vehicle was a municipal truck from San Mateo County, but, on checking the photograph you were able to take with your cell phone, it was something else.

Answer:  It was a Cal Water truck.  Here's my photograph as the vehicle was rapidly pulling away from the scene.  ) Incidentally, in the left of the frame, my camera captured the white sedan that had been tailgating me earlier, just prior to rounding the bend to encounter the eighteen-wheeler.)

22.  You have witnessed an inordinate number of Cal Water trucks close to your home recently.

Answer:  Yes, I have.

23.  Does that concern you, given Cal Water's apparent malfeasance in conjunction with PG&E a number of months ago?  Are you regularly testing magnetic ELF levels in your home?

Answer:  Yes, and yes.

24.  Have you noticed anything else unusual within your neighborhood recently?

Answer:  State-of-the-art drones are still launching and landing at 21 Vista Verde Way every night.

25.  Who do you think is orchestrating those flights?

Answer:  I have no idea.  But this is the vehicle that was parked outside of the residence this afternoon in the rain.  It has a license of 7L47374.

26.  Have you trained yourself to notice everything now when you go out for excursions in the wider world?

Answer:  It's a necessary skill, given the circumstances.

27.  Do you have faith that your circumstances will improve?

Answer:  There are some wonderful people in Washington who are aware of this situation, so, yes, I have faith that this issue can be illuminated to serve a greater good.

28.  And that is your goal -- to serve a greater good.

Answer:  Always.  Individual challenges can always be marshaled toward serving the welfare of others.

29.  Do you hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct?

Answer:  I do.

Update: Email to Brian Von Herzen

Update:  OIG Hotline investigators, for context regarding the communication below, my brother has failed to claim his full inheritance from my father, despite repeated urging from me in writing.

I believe it's possible that he accepted compensation from FBI affiliates to fail to process certain TOD claims relating to my father's estate.  Perhaps the intention was to falsely claim that funds were withheld from him.

Nonetheless, I possess full documentation of my ongoing efforts to assist him in claiming all funds due to him.

As a point of reference, he was removed as Trustee from my mother's Trust for non-performance, so the origin of these failures is difficult to assess.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Re:  SC Funds Recovery; Brighthouse; Fidelity's Transition Services

Brian, I hope you've been able to claim the funds you inherited from Dad.

I have received four calls from a "Gretchen" at "SC Funds Recovery," suggesting that there may be unclaimed fund related to Brighthouse.  If those funds have reverted to the state, third parties can sometimes simplify the paperwork regarding the claiming of those monies.  But the percentage they charge can be high, and you need to assess whether they are trustworthy.  I cannot vouch for "SC Funds Recovery," as I merely received voicemails from "Gretchen."  That said, if you want to follow up, the callback number with which I was provided is as follows:  (626) 635-1520.  The caller ID was (415) 406-6291.

It would be wise to commence by calling Brighthouse, in any case, to assess the location and status of the funds.  Their number is 1-800-515-1075.

I also spoke to Fidelity not too long ago, and mentioned your situation.  They recommended that you reach out to their "Transition Services" team, which I understand is most helpful and accommodating.  You can reach them by calling 1-800-544-0003.

I hope this helps, Brian.

Dad certainly wanted you to inherit the funds he designated for you, and it would be lovely if you engaged with the follow up to ensure that this inheritance took place.

I am not legally permitted to claim these funds on your behalf.  Otherwise, I would have done so and simply sent you the check.

I hope you're well,

Lane

Re:  CPUC/CAB Complaint Pertaining to CableCom

Kara, thank you for your call and for this follow up letter as well.

I know you mentioned over the phone that only the FCC regulates cable companies, but California Public Utilities Code Section 768.5 gives the CPUC the authority to regulate cable companies for safety purposes.  This is a safety complaint.  Therefore, I resubmit it to the CPUC for a complaint against CableCom.

I have already faxed this material to you, so you should be able to document it as formally received by those means on the same date as the PG&E complaint, March 23, 2023.  Attached herewith, please find fax transmission confirmations of both complaints, together with newly notarized complaint affidavits.

Please respond to me with a separate Complaint File Number with regard to CableCom's malfeasance in this matter.

Thank you very much for your prompt cooperation regarding this important safety concern.

Sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

*As a reminder, PG&E's assigned complaint number is #587934.

Avoidance of Los Trancos Road Hazard

OIG Hotline, I avoided what appeared to be a carefully staged attempt to cause a serious car accident on my way home from Portola Valley Public Library today.  An eighteen-wheel truck was halted on a blind curve of Los Trancos Road, a PG&E truck was following close behind, a San Mateo County vehicle was nearby, and an ambulance from the Woodside Fire Protection District soon appeared.  In addition, a pedestrian witness appeared to be "posted" at the scene, and did not leave it.

I was fortunate to avoid what appeared to be an attempt to create a head-on collision hazard.

Due to this experience, please allow me to re-fax affidavits to your Office when I can be accompanied.

Thank you for your understanding,

Lane MacWilliams

Medical Post Removed from Blog This Morning

OIG Hotline investigators, a post pertaining to the medical treatment of my son has been removed from this blog this morning.

Further information about this circumstance will be sent to you directly.

If my family is further obstructed by far right FBI personnel and/or affiliates from finding ethical and engaged physicians to assist us in the treatment of my son's health, my previous posts about this matter will be again rendered public.

I am most grateful for your support in this matter, as it carries implications for the preservation of the civil liberties and human rights of many Americans.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

** Please note that my Wifi access from my residence was obstructed shortly after 9 AM this morning, apparently as the result of short-range signal jamming.  As a result, I am posting this entry from the Portola Valley Public Library.  After my work here, I will return home directly.

The FBI is a deeply divided agency.  There are many FBI employees who view their vows to the Constitution with the utmost seriousness and honors nd who strive to defend the fundamentals of our democracy with courage, fortitude and commitment.  The fact that some segments of the FBI appear to have embraced a lawless course is not a justification to assail the FBI in general.  As President Joseph R. Biden has so rightly expressed, violence is never justified in any circumstance.  The rule of law must always be honored and upheld.  It is our shared determination to preserve the civil liberties and human rights of all Americans that renders the United States a democracy.  We must never abandon this promise. All of our most cherished freedoms depend upon it.

Confirmations of Successful Fax Transmissions to OIG Hotline Investigations Division and CPUC, Consumer Affairs Branch

OIG Hotline, I was obstructed in my attempts to connect to Wifi all day today, Thursday, March 23, 2023.  Only a few moments ago, at approximately 10:30 PM was I able to access my gmail and blog for the first time.

This morning at 8:39 AM and 8:47 AM, I faxed two complaints of seventeen pages each regarding separate utility companies from the UPS Store in Portola Valley to the California Public Utilities Commission, Consumer Affairs Branch.

At 8:56 AM and 9:05 AM, I faxed copies of those same complaints to your Office.

Confirmation of successful transmission of all of those communications follows below.

My foray to the UPS Store in Portola Valley represented the first time I have left my home in months due to the death threats I have received from FBI affiliates.

I wore a body cam during my outing, and I traveled home as soon as the faxes were complete.

My husband traveled home from San Diego today without incident.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

The Soul of a Nation

OIG Hotline investigators, there are certain companies, agencies, and organizations which are expressing heightened sensitivity concerning their public exposure regarding recent events described on this blog.

I have been asked to "de-escalate" a conflict I neither sought nor initiated.

While the restraint required for that de-escalation is rather superhuman, I believe it represents the wise course at this time.

When the civil liberties and human rights of law-abiding American citizens have been violated by members of the far right in positions of authority, we must pause.

As law-abiding American citizens, we should not have to beg for our freedom, our careers, our property, our health, or our lives from a lawless cohort that has sought to forcibly deprive us of these gifts.

Our United States Constitution and our Bill of Rights grant us the guarantee that we will not have to do so.

And yet, covert predation by the far right has endangered this promise.

I risk stating the obvious when I assert that Americans should never turn against one another in the quest for a "greater nation."  Germany made that mistake rather infamously in the 1930's and 1940's.  There's no need for us to repeat it now.

Our strength resides in our diversity, our benevolence, our ethics, and in the human bonds that render our families, our communities, and our nation unified in our commitment to one another's well-being.

That fortitude is manifested within one American at a time: the teacher, the environmentalist, the physician, the engineer, the utilities worker, the hotel manager, the journalist, the scientist, the plumber, the artist.

Each one of us is an irreplaceable part in the fabric of the life of this nation.

Each one of us has the opportunity to extend help instead of harm, praise instead of slander, kindness instead of cruelty, truth instead of lies.

These choices define more than America's culture.  They define America's soul.

When President Biden says that the struggle for the soul of this nation is underway, I am here to attest that I stand on the side of its virtues.

I possess abiding faith that those who care about the life of our democracy will stand alongside me.

In gratitude for your presence,
