My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Village Pub in Woodside, CA

* The below documentation appears in an email to the attention of the OIG Hotline, sent at 11:00 AM on November 12, 2023, including the names of the parties involved in a social gathering today in Woodside, CA, which my husband will attend.  The subject heading is as follows:  ATTN: OIG HOTLINE Re: Meeting Between KPM and Parents of Son's Girlfriend Today, November 12, 2023 at the Village Pub in Woodside. As you know, the OIG Hotline has my full permission to access my email accounts at any time your Office so desires.  In gratitude, LM

*************************************************************************************

OIG Hotline, please be informed that my husband will be meeting the parents of my son's girlfriend for the first time at a restaurant called The Village Pub in Woodside, CA at noon today, November 12, 2023.

Although I would love to take part, my older son is quite unwell, and I have significant documentation to organize for the OIG Hotline.

As a result, I will be waiting until the next opportunity to meet them in person.

Please be apprised that my husband will notarize a new affidavit for your Office following this gathering.  Because this family has suffered extensive threats due to my role as a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance, the risks of coerced, falsified witness statements following their meeting with my husband are quite high, unfortunately.

This is to be expected under our current circumstances, given ongoing efforts on the part of the FBI and its affiliates to wrongfully discredit my family.

Thank you for allowing me to document these concerns.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
