My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Moving from Fictitious CHRC Personnel to Disclosure of the Facts

OIG Hotline, Mr. Willem Monkhouse (which I presume to be a fake name) of the Canadian Human Rights Commission, informed me that material relating to my ATIP request would be fulfilled by August 19, 2025, too late to attend my son's wedding in California on the 16th of August.

While I readily acknowledge that attendance at my son's wedding may not be safe for me, I would like to have the opportunity to evaluate requested records myself within the normal timeline for fulfillment of ATIP requirements, which is 30 days from the original date of request, in my case, July 14, 2025, meaning fulfillment would occur prior to August 13, 2025.

Mr. Monkhouse, as stated, sent me a previous communication asserting that fulfillment would occur by August 19, 2025, which appears to be a fictitious deadline, perhaps extended to protect my safety, though this is entirely unknown to me.  In any event, it will help all of us to adhere to the facts, as these will best assist me in evaluation whether this travel is in any manner secure or advisable.

Will you please assist the Canadian Human Rights Commission in communicating with me regarding this matter?

It seems that they are being prevented from engaging in normal follow up regarding my ATIP request, and this obstruction certainly represents a problem for my ongoing safety.

Thank you for your support.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
