My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

The Smithsonian Institution

OIG Hotline, this document is to confirm that I specify that five billion dollars from awards extended in my name or affiliated with my identity are to be transferred to the Smithsonian Institution on an immediate basis as an endowment dedicated to the Museum's aggregation, preservation, and display of my documentation for the American public and others.

Together with these funds, all materials related to my case should also be transferred in a secure manner at this time.

The selection of materials to be included in this exhibition is to transpire with my direct assistance or that of my named Executor, my husband.

Please note that I retain copyright to all of materials written by me.

If neither I nor my husband are available to assist in curating the content of this exhibit, all verified content by me relating to my case should be made available to the American public by the Smithsonian Institution in perpetuity.

The Smithsonian is to be permitted to invest this five billon dollar endowment, or a portion thereof, in long term holding of commodities at this time.

Other than this designated transfer of funds, my accounts are to remain locked for the time being.  No assessments against accounts bearing my name or associated with my identity should be allowed through allegations of wrongdoing on the part of one or more of my family members or on the part of myself, through allegations of incapacity or mental illness on my part, or on the basis of documentation from me allowing withdrawals, given that such documentation would represent forgeries.

Please note that my accounts include those affiliated both with misspellings and correct identification of my name, including Lane Macwilliams (small W), Lane Mac Williams, Carol Elaine Von Herzen, Lane von Herzen, and any variations on the above.  Settlements should not be extended to my sons or daughter in law in any manner that represents withdrawals from my accounts, nor should settlements be extended in any form to my sons without my express knowledge and consent, given capacity concerns.  At this time, I grant the OIG Hotline my permission to address misconduct by the FBI and its affiliates that may have occurred during an interim period when this was disallowed.  Resulting penalties against the FBI or its affiliates may be funded to my accounts, but assessments may not be withdrawn for any reason at this time, other than the Smithsonian designation above.

To reconfirm, other than the Smithsonian allotment described above, accounts affiliated with my name, any variations of my name, and/or my identity should be treated as locked, with the exception that deposits may occur.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
