My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Questions About Lane MacWilliams' Privacy Rights From Briana Flancia at Sutter Health

OIG Hotline investigators, my response to Ms. Briana Flancia's query is particularly emphatic due to the warnings my stalker sent to me in advance of this communication.

It would appear that the FBI is seeking another "distribution point" for unlawful slander and defamation originating from within the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.  Have lost Privacy Officer Ana Tuifua, it seems FBI personnel have attempted to move Ms. Briana Flancia into the role.

It is necessary to recognize that, to a large degree, all human interactions are, ideally, based on good faith.

When the FBI seeks to slander and defame a whistleblower, that good faith is absent, certainly.  In that case, deceitful communications, ruses intended to exploit "targets," privacy violations perpetrated as purported "misunderstandings" -- all of these can occur.

The manner in which the FBI has engaged in both unjustified privacy violations of "targets of interest" and unlawful distribution of that material is highly aggressive, in my opinion.  The agency is violating both the Constitution and the rule of law in a systematized defamation of "targets" that is not so much intended to be hurtful as it is intended to be annihilating.  In other words, the FBI's desire is to completely discredit "targets of interest," so that their truthful concerns cannot be heard by the public, which most needs to have its awareness raised.  There appears to be a consistent attempt to deceive recipients of defamatory material to such a degree that "targets" are indelibly discounted as truth-tellers.  These criminal tactics have, it must be acknowledged, allowed the FBI to persist in its perpetration of the harassment and harms that are integral to the "target of interest" program.  Beyond this, they have permitted far-right segments of the FBI to target primarily Democrats and journalists in a manner that endangers the fundamentals of our democracy.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

Dear Ms. Flancia:

You are not authorized to release information pertaining to me to anyone.

I formally request that you shred the attached documents, which were sent to you inappropriately, whether by Dr. Tayyeba Ali, her staff, or others.  Please retain no hard copies or electronic copies whatsoever.  Further, please ensure that Medical Records at Sutter Health and PAMF retain no hard copies or electronic copies of these documents.

These documents are exactly what they appear to be:  namely a two-page communication that was directly to Dr. Tayyeba Ali and intended for Dr. Tayyeba Ali specifically.  They do not constitute my request that you forward medical records to me or to anyone else, nor do they represent a request for coordination of care, which would fall outside of the auspices of your responsibilities as a "Release of Information Representative."  These communications do not belong under your auspices, nor do they belong in the Records Request department, as they do not pertain to the Palo Alto Medical Foundation as a whole, nor to Sutter Health as a whole.

Again, you have forwarded to me a two-page communication which was directed to Dr. Tayyeba Ali specifically.  These documents should not have been faxed to you, as they do not pertain to PAMF as a whole, nor to Sutter Health as a whole.

To repeat, Ms. Flancia, you are not authorized to release information pertaining to me to anyone.  Anyone.  I hope I am expressing myself clearly.  If you or anyone else at Sutter Health or PAMF has questions or requires additional clarification of these important points, I should be contacted at this email address, lanemacwilliams@gmail.com, with a copy sent via certified signature-confirmed mail to me at the following:  Lane MacWilliams, 45 Vista Verde Way, Portola Valley, CA. 94028.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
