My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Defending Graham MacWilliams Against National Traitor Tom Lyons

Mr. Ardizzone, Ms. Needham, LaSelva Management and Ownership:

Please be apprised that the FBI's South Bay Chief of Station is being currently investigated for high treason pertaining to selling critical national security information of the United States to a foreign adversary.

Mr. Tom Lyons has been in communication with LaSelva staff in extending directives pertaining to my son, Graham MacWilliams.

Yesterday, following progress in the investigation of Mr. Lyons' crimes, he directed that Graham attend a LaSelva alumni dinner, during which time he allegedly suffered additional harm.

Further, the transfer of a package with unknown contents from a LaSelva staff member or patient to another location in Palo Alto, directed in every way by Mr. Lyons, is intended to falsely implicate Graham of terrorist activity.

While I don't doubt that Mr. Lyons could be involved in terrorism against the honorable American public, I do not want him to receive LaSelva's support in falsely implicating my son any more than he already has.  LaSelva does not need this accumulating liability, and my son Graham needs to be cleared of all "crimes" in which Mr. Lyons has forced his participation, with LaSelva's participation, under the most pressing threat to Graham's health and life.

To be clear, as Graham's Medical Power of Attorney and Durable Power of Attorney, I do not grant permission for Graham to attend any further LaSelva events in any capacity.  If his handler directs that he attend, LaSelva staff, including "David" who hosts the Wednesday night barbeques, are to send him home immediately.

If Mr. Lyons wants to wrongfully implicate my family of criminal activity in his endeavor to avoid accountability for his own treasonous acts, he is going to have to meet me in an open court of law, where his misconduct will be revealed to the public in full.

I appreciate your cooperation in this critical matter.

Sincerely yours,

Lane MacWilliams
