My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

An Open Letter to Elon Musk

Dear Mr. Musk:

The FBI informs me that it is appropriate for me to send you an open letter requesting that you allow the proper filing of my tax returns for 2024.

The agency appears to allege that my CPAs JoAnn Chow and Andy Favor are being directed by their handlers to extend knowingly misleading tax advice, and further, to file my tax returns improperly with the specific intent of the IRS later accusing me of felony tax evasion.

This corruption on the part of federal agencies would allow settlements and awards extended in my name under the auspices of the OIG Hotline and the ODNI to be misappropriated, a crime which is the alleged intent of the entire scheme.

Accordingly, I am writing to request that you allow me the freedom and, indeed, the right to file my tax returns properly and on time.

I am a highly honorable American who is striving to pay all taxes owed to both federal and state tax offices.

But I need the truth from my tax advisors and financial institutions, and following that provision, I need their full support in filing my returns correctly, professionally, completely, ethically, and on time.

Please allow me this freedom as a highly conscientious American, advocating for the longterm freedoms of all.

The tax problems caused to my family by prior FBI malfeasance should not result in an audit and wrongful accusations, charges and convictions by the IRS or any other government agency in the future.

The FBI appears to allege that this will require a change in current directives, and if this is the case, I will appreciate your intervention in ensuring that this update is extended right away.

Thank you for your ethical engagement with this most important issue.

Sincerely yours,

Lane MacWilliams
