My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Thanksgiving Reflections on the Character of Justice

 1.  What should happen to Txx Lxxxx as a direct result of his crimes against your family?

Answer:  Txx Lxxxx obviously feels under extreme threat, which is the reason he arranged with a long term rental management company to attempt to take my life this afternoon during a viewing of a rental property in Whistler, B.C.

Somebody needs to force this man to step down immediately, and that needs to be the first order of business.

Next, there needs to be a thorough evaluation of his criminal and civil liabilities to me.

2.  Txx Lxxxx cannot continue in his current position?

Answer:  Absolutely not.  That is no longer a possibility.

3.  What should Txx Lxxxx' future employment prospects be in the federal government of the United States?

Answer:  Zero.

4.  What about his potential to run for elected office?

Answer:  After Txx Lxxxx gives back the funds he stole from accounts bearing my name and/or identity within the DOJ, he won't have the financial position to run for elected office.

On the basis of his crimes alone, this should be an impossibility.

5.  Should Txx Lxxxx be allowed to continue to communicate with anyone affiliated with the three-letter agencies?

Answer:  Decidedly not.  This should be absolutely prohibited.

6.  Should Txx Lxxxx be allowed to continue to communicate with your family members, directly or indirectly?

Answer:  That would be an emphatic no.

7.  Why can't Txx Lxxxx admit that he lied about you and your family regarding this case, and that he preyed upon all of you in the most unconscionable way?

Answer:  The short answer is that he would be disavowed if he admitted the truth of this matter.

The long answer is that Txx Lxxxx is gay, and the man who represents his lifetime unrequited love interest does not reciprocate his depth of feeling.  If Txx Lxxxx admitted his crimes in this case, he would be condemning his love interest, as well as other highly ranked officials.

So, that will not happen.

8.  Is Txx Lxxxx' life currently on the line because he has so embarrassed the FBI with his gratuitous crimes against your family?

Answer:  Knowing something about the FBI and its affiliates, I would be shocked if it weren't.

9.  You have been told that Txx Lxxxx cannot be formally prosecuted at this time.  But what does Txx Lxxxx owe you?  What does he owe your family?

Answer:  His remorse, his apology, his respect, his resignation, and his restitution consisting of all the funds he stole from accounts bearing my name and identity, along with further penalties.

10.  What happens when formal justice is not available to hold a man like Txx Lxxxx accountable?

Answer:  Then society must repudiate the man so that he understands that the crimes he has freely chosen to commit are unacceptable to everyone.

11.  Will you please keep us updated with regard to your family's safety and wellbeing, in addition to your own.

Answer:  I will be happy to do so.

12.  Thank you for speaking with us this afternoon.

Answer:  You are quite welcome.
