OIG Hotline, in my role as advocate for the long term human rights of all Americans, it is necessary for me to hear all political viewpoints in a professional context. So many resources have been awarded to me for my support of the sovereignty of the nation as a whole and the self-determination of our people that I need to be exceptionally sensitive to the needs, positions and hopes of Americans who possess widely divergent political viewpoints. There is much on which all good people can agree. And I can best articulate our common cause if I ensure that I continue to listen well to those who define American life as we are now living it.
Having said that, my safety and security must be preserved as I endeavor to hear others' concerns.
I will be making a conscious effort to reach out to a variety of constituencies during this period of time.
I have asked that foundations be established with certain funds, and I have requested to be part of those efforts. So, I need to proceed with the understanding that this structure has been established.
Left, right, and center will be helped immensely by the conveyance to me of reports regarding my case. Accordingly, I hope this occurs prior to the end of February.
I will share with your Office the details of my communications.
Please be informed that I am not contributing personal donations to political causes at this time, because to do so could disqualify me from awards that have already been extended in my name.
Tax laws are quite strict regarding the fact that those who lead foundations of any size must not engage professionally in partisan politics.
I cannot violate those rules, and it is in the interests of the nation that I exercise great care in this regard.
I do realize that the majority of funds awarded to me exist outside of foundations, yet I am still bound by certain strictures that limit my political participation at this juncture.
Thank you for allowing me to express my approach to my advocacy for the long term sovereignty of Americans, alongside that of the nation we hold dear.
Most sincerely,
Lane MacWilliams
