My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Re-established Wifi Access from 45 Vista Verde Way, Portola Valley

OIG Hotline, after my husband attempted to sign onto broadband internet access from our home at 45 Vista Verde Way today between 1:30 PM and 1:39 PM, he determined that this means of accessing the internet is still blocked for our family.

As a result, at my request, he re-established our Wifi internet access this afternoon at approximately 3 PM.  In order to reconnect our Wifi access, he needed to rename our Wifi network and create a new password.

I recognize that those currently in residence at nearby properties are no doubt still capable of engaging in online identity impersonation while our Wifi network is connected.  However, it appears that our broadband connection did not resolve this issue -- and merely prevented us from accessing the internet, while allowing others to actively misrepresent us.

In an effort to mitigate the potential for disinformation regarding my online activities from our home, I will document my online tasks.  For those who have access to my gmail account, lanemacwilliams@gmail.com, my online activity log will be listed there.

In addition, I have asked my husband to log his online activities from our home to as great an extent as he is able.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
