OIG Hotline, the Privacy Statement connected to the FBI's online Fingerprint Background Check is below:
This statement may contradict your Office's original settlement agreement with the FBI, prohibiting the agency and its affiliates from engaging in defamation toward me and toward my family members.
Because I have not been provided with the original settlement agreement from your Office, and further, because I have been deprived of legal advice, I will request records from the FBI through a mail-in process that is traceable. I note that records should normally be provided by the FBI within two weeks, and I will request that these be mailed to my home address. Given what appear to be extraordinary attempts at false reporting by the FBI, I expect the FBI's falsified records to be substantive, not blank. These crimes of false reporting by the agency should not be permitted to be erased, and hope this insistence is shared by all parties involved in this matter.
I will update your Office further with the details of my request, and, indeed, the specifics will be rendered public on my blog until and unless I receive outreach from the FBI or DOJ requesting a confidential dialogue pertaining to the FBI's crimes of knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting, and all associated harms, perpetrated against my family members and myself.
Thank you for allowing me to document these concerns.
Most sincerely,
Lane MacWilliams
