OIG Hotline, I am concerned by Legal Aid BC's letter of refusal of referral to an appropriate attorney. Chris, on the Appeals Team, apparently wanted very much to take this case, and was prevented by the FBI from doing so.
Complicating concerns regarding my safety is the fact that Delta Whistler Village Suites is planning to shut down Building 2, where I currently reside, as of tomorrow at noon. Matt Koenig plans to move me to Building 1 at that point, though the rooms have allegedly not been identified.
Meanwhile, the FBI appears to allege that the third floor of Building 2 is filled with Pxxxxxx Program personnel.
The last functioning of the elevator in Building 2 will be at 12 noon tomorrow, while my rooms will allegedly not be available until later in the day. I am being encouraged to remain in my rooms during the interval, even though the FBI continues to extend kidnapping threats and threats of "gas explosion" without respite. It would be exceptionally easy for the agency to stage a "disappearance" in a hotel building in which I am the only civilian resident.
This is a high-risk circumstance, whether or not Hotel staff are apprised of the details (and I highly doubt that they are). Matt Koenig seems to me to be a person of integrity and professionalism, and I doubt he would be participating in any knowing plan of harm.
But the letter of refusal from Legal Aid BC is not immaterial in its timing. The FBI often tries to "tie up loose ends" immediately prior to a violent attack. Legal Aid BC does not want to retain liability for having delayed the necessary referral to an attorney in my case, and so, it is simply being forced by the FBI to cut off communications altogether.
These actions are all deeply wrong.
I deserve representation. I deserve resolution of my concerns to date regarding my case. I deserve the restoration of my family and the satisfaction of my objections to FBI conduct, point by point.
I will be updating your Office with regard to new developments, but, for the time being, please be apprised that the FBI, with South Bay Chief of Station leading the charge, appears to be creating yet further high risk circumstances with regard to my safety.
The South Bay Chief of Station deserves to be in prison for his crimes against my family, not being enabled to commit yet more of them.
Txx Lxxxs needs to cease and desist, or he needs to be charged. Again.
And those authorizing Txx Lxxxs need to understand that they, too, are in the wrong.
I am looking for leadership that has the courage and integrity to insist on peaceable and honorable outreach to me on an immediate basis -- not further schemes of first degree murder.
That leadership needs to step forward with an intermediary at this time, not later.
Thank you for allowing me to document these serious concerns.
Most sincerely,
Lane MacWilliams
