My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

The United Nations: In Translation

 1.  What were your thoughts about President Trump's comments before the United Nations two days ago?

Answer:  I thought that he was extending very clear guidance to the United Nations given certain exigencies that we are currently facing.

2.  How did you interpret that commentary specifically?

Answer:  He was asking other nations to close their borders to immigrants and refugee flows, quite emphatically.

3.  And what was your impression of the remarks concerning climate change?

Answer:  President Trump was actually signaling that we are facing an unprecedented climate crisis, and, in fact, this was the reason for his comments regarding immigration and refugee pressures.

4.  Is the leadership of the United Nations able to interpret the context of the speech so decisively?

Answer:  Behind closed doors, the United Nations must comprehend a degree of our current global challenges.  I think there is a great deal of fear on the part of nations that feel disenfranchised from frank conversations about the issues that are most pressing.  Many nations have been left out of truthful dialogue about our circumstances, and these groups are not feeling trustful or respected, to say the least.

5.  What needs to happen ultimately in order to ensure that the issue of climate change is de-politicized?

Answer:  Ultimately, the military will need to be communicating with the public regarding goals and objectives pertaining to the climate worldwide.  Once the public sees the Admirals and the Generals in front of the cameras, they will comprehend the seriousness of the situation.  But we're not going to be seeing that development for a number of years yet.

6.  Your impression is that many nations are being left out of the most honest conversations regarding our plight.  Is that correct?

Answer:  Oh, yes.  And this will continue.  This is the reason that the antipathy toward the United States within the United Nations is palpable at this time.

7.  The FBI appears to have stated that U.S. personnel within the United Nations are under physical threat from our own three-letter agencies.  Is that the case?

Answer:  Yes, it is, sadly.  It seems that the FBI and its affiliates would like to make a symbolic statement at some point in the future, and the agency's threats appear to be connected to this intention.

8.  What would the FBI's symbolic statement be?

Answer:  That the United States is decidedly not united with the global south.

9.  How do you interpret President Trump's recent reversal regarding Ukraine, given that he is now stating that Ukraine may be able to gain back all of the land it has lost?

Answer:  The statements, entirely fallacious, indicate to me that Russia is holding open the nuclear option.

President Trump is being guided to stand in performative opposition to Vladimir Putin, rendering the future use of non-conventional weapons by Russia more likely.

10.  But President Trump is not, in fact, in opposition to Vladimir Putin?

Answer:  Again, this is a performative stance, useful to the objective of maximizing the potential range of Russian aggression.

11.  Is this stance to the advantage of the United States?

Answer:  The United States, and, indeed, the whole of the Northern Hemisphere, is not advantaged by assisting Vladimir Putin in this regard, or in any other.

The victimization of our people through Russia's insistence on the nuclear option, and the corresponding despoiling of the environment, represents a global horror, and it must be recognized as such.

12.  Can the United States regain a necessary degree of sovereignty by providing you with the reports you now seek?

Answer:  It can, and this is what I have attempted to point out.  Information provided to me will be received confidentially, but details regarding the despoiling of the environment and other critical factors should be included so that the territorial integrity and long term security interests of the United States can be effectively re-asserted.

13.  What do you think of recent allegations that some individuals have withdrawn funds held within the DOJ in your name without your knowledge or consent based on knowingly false claims?

Answer:  I disapprove of that conduct.   It places my life and the lives of family members at even further immediate risk.

14.  You are awaiting documentation regarding your case through information requests sent to  Barnstable County, Massachusetts, San Mateo County, California, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, France and others.  Is that correct?

Answer:  Yes, it is.

15.  Are your life and your family members' lives under greater threat with every day that goes by without the provision of these reports?

Answer:  Unquestionably so.

16.  Is the FBI attempting to wrongfully redact those reports in their entirety?

Answer:  This is what the agency alleges, yes.

17.  Can substantive material reach you despite this?

Answer:  That's what I'm about to find out, although if substantive material does reach me, I will be receiving it confidentially in the hope of serving the sovereignty of the nation through direct conversations about the mid-term and long-term concerns.

18.  You want to have resolution of your case to date through the assignment of a high level attorney to assist you.

Answer:  I do, and I think everyone who is loyal to the United States should desire this as well.

19.  To return to the U.N. for a moment, what is the future of the United Nations?

Answer:  The United Nations will be effectively de-funded and abandoned in the short term.  In the long term, we can hope that its potential to re-emerge in some form will become manifest.  The possibility exists that the U.N., or a corollary to the U.N., could be instrumental to the long term preservation of human rights in the long term time frame.  And this needs to be remembered at this juncture.

20.  Thank you for speaking with us this afternoon.

Answer:  You are quite welcome.
