My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Request that Stanford Medicine Immediately Release Graham MacWilliams to Parental Care

*******************************************************************************

The following email has been here transcribed for ease of reading:

Dear Director Sanborn,

It is my understanding that Dr. Salaheldin and Dr. Tronick have both engaged in falsifying the medical records of my son Graham MacWilliams at the directive of a third party.

Graham tells me that Dr. Salaheldin has been removed from Graham's care as of yesterday evening.

I just spoke with Graham over the phone, and I am alarmed at the manner in which he is being overmedicated.  His words are slurred and he remains disoriented.

Given the actions of Stanford personnel in Graham's treatment, it would be most appropriate for Stanford to release Graham into our care on an immediate basis.  My husband will be visiting H2 shortly.  Graham can be released to his care at that time.

I request that Stanford administer no further medication to Graham under any circumstances, given that he appears to be precipitiously declining on the medication regimen and dosing that Stanford is now pursuing.

Please provide prescriptions and recommendations to my husband when he arrives at H2 and facilitate Graham's immediate release to him.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

Sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
