My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

President Biden, Please Run Again

1.  You feel frustrated by discussion of Democratic presidential candidates other than President Joseph Robinette Biden at this moment in time.

Answer:  I do.

2.  And why is that?

Answer:  The so-called "document crisis" has clearly been manufactured by the far right as a means of causing chaos close to the planned announcement of President Biden's re-election campaign.  I don't believe the far right should have its way in spreading this disinformation about our President.

3.  Do you believe that certain documents were placed in then-Vice President Biden's belongings without his knowledge or consent?

Answer:  One hundred percent.  In the final days of his Vice Presidency, I do not believe that then-Vice President Biden packed all of his own boxes and maintained direct possession of those boxes at all times of the day or night.  Nor do I believe he accompanied the boxes that were shipped to his residence, his future office, and other destinations in their progress through the mail.

He was a tremendously productive Vice President, and I'm certain he was working for the American people right up until the final moments of that term.

4. We haven't yet heard about the content of those classified documents.

Answer:  I have a good idea what they contain.

5.  Would you care to share that with us?

Answer:  If far right FBI personnel were involved in any manner with placing classified documents in then-Vice President Biden's belongings, they contain one of two things:

  1. sensitive information pertaining to U.S. nuclear capabilities
  2. sensitive information pertaining to U.S. intellectual property relating to technology advancements
6.  Why are you so sure of the connection between far right segments of the FBI and documents that fall into these two categories?

Answer:  Because these two categories of information allow the FBI to invoke the Patriot Act and the Espionage Act in falsely accusing law-abiding American citizens of crimes they never committed.  They represent the fastest, most thorough way for FBI personnel to deprive virtuous Americans of their civil liberties under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

7.  And you believe that corrupt members of the far right within the FBI are now employing these same stratagems in attempting to discredit our sitting President.

Answer:  I do.  President Biden is not acquiesing to FBI attempts to establish a totalitarian hold over the American electorate.  The FBI leadership is likely, it is fair to surmise, somewhat bitter about President Biden's demonstration of character and integrity under pressure.

8.  You and your husband have been falsely accused of myriad crimes by the FBI.

Answer:  We have, and I must observe that the agency's conduct has been a disgrace in this regard.  We are loyal, law-abiding American citizens who care deeply about our democracy.  So, to be gratuitously targeted by far right FBI personnel has been a fast lesson in the agency's conduct as organized crime.

I must re-emphasize that I believe there to be many members of the FBI who are honorable people who view their vows to uphold the Constitution with the utmost seriousness.

But FBI Director Christopher Wray has guided the agency into a prevarication and a lawlessness that are indefensible.

9.  You feel there has long been an intent by the far right to attempt to criminalize President Biden's actions and those of his family as well.

Answer:  I will simply say that three months ago, my stalker, who is a leading member of the far right, sent a message to my cell phone in Spanish, the translation of which was "crimes of a president."

Yes, the far right has intended to falsely accuse the Biden family of crimes.  The public has difficulty understanding where those false accusations are originating from and who is directing the false narrative.

But the FBI leadersship is central in that scheme, and it needs to be exposed for its actions.

10.  If you could send a message to President Biden at this time, what would it be?

Answer:  You are not replaceable.  You should not stand down.  You should not give way to those who would impugn your character and integrity.  Instead, I would ask you to insist that the truth of this matter be revealed to the American people.  The survival of our democracy depends on your faithful, calm, courageous, unyielding presence in illuminating for the American electorate the specific nature of the insider threat posed by the FBI and its affiliates.

I maintain full faith and confidence in you as my President.

If you ask me to illuminate the FBI's actions in the commission of falsified law enforcement reporting for anti-democratic objectives, I will stand by you every step of the way in doing so.

I believe in your personal courage in accomplishing this task with the same certainty and confidence with which I believe in my own.

The truth will win when virtuous Americans stand united in its defense.

Accordingly, I remain undaunted by false news reports.

It is your remarkable character, President Biden, that means you must run again.

The democracy needs the rare integrity that is yours.

And those of us who insist on the high road need your company in 2024 as our President while we continue to uphold that democracy with your unfailing support.

The FBI is a deeply divided agency.  There are many FBI employees who view their vows to the Constitution with the utmost seriousness and honor, and who strive to defend the fundamentals of our democracy with courage, fortitude and commitment.  The fact that some segments of the FBI appear to have embraced a lawless course is not a justification to assail the FBI in general.  The safety of FBI agents should be protected, just as the safety of the American citizenry should be protected.  As President Joseph R. Biden has so rightly expressed, violence is never justified in any circumstance.  The rule of law must always be honored and upheld.  It is our shared determination to preserve the civil liberties and human rights of ALL AMERICANS that renders the United States a democracy.  We must never abandon this promise.  All of our most cherished freedoms depend upon it.
