My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Apparently Obstructed Attempts to Provide Newly Notarized Affidavit to the OIG Hotline

OIG Hotline, my husband has notarized a new affidavit for your Office, but I am currently -- and without explanation -- locked out of the file he sent to me directly as it is, for the first time, password protected.

His cell phone is not ringing, and my texts to him, below, have gone unanswered.

It would appear that my attempt to provide you with this document prior to the close of business at your Office is being actively obstructed.

I don't know whether you have direct access to my husband's gmail account.  If you do, I would respectfully request your acquisition of his latest affidavit, notarized close to 1 PM today, through onlinenotary.net.

If not, please be apprised that I am actively working to provide this document to your Office.

Certainly, we hope that our family's safety and security will be improved today and tonight, in light of our notarized affidavits countering the likely efforts of the FBI and its affiliates to coerce false witness statements about us yesterday.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
