My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

 1.  You have been informed that a Phoenix assassin is currently residing in the attic of your Portola Valley home.  Is that correct?

Answer:  I have been informed that there have been two Phoenix personnel within my home, one in the attic, and one in the crawl space.

2.  What effect is that allegation having on your daily life?

Answer:  Profound.  I cannot leave my home for fear that one of these individuals might enter the main living area of our residence while I'm away -- thereby placing the lives of my family at imminent risk.

3.  Are you able to sleep through the night?

Answer:  It's not possible under these circumstances.  This is a situation that requires constant vigilance until we receive intervention from Washington, D.C.

4.  You and your family members have been threatened with being "shot through the floor or ceiling" by one of these men.  Is that true?

Answer:  Yes, it is.  The escalation in threats over these last several weeks has truly been extraordinary.  I have received extensive threats toward my family members and friends.  I have been threatened with being falsely accused of serious crimes, of which I know nothing.  I have been threatened with yet one more deployment of Special Forces personnel tonight and warned not to sleep.  There is no respite.

5.  Meanwhile, you are told that the FBI continues to aggregate knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting concerning your family members and yourself.

Answer:  Yes, I'm quite concerned about the amount of time that is elapsing.  The FBI should not have the leeway to continue to coerce falsified witness statements from those we know.  The agency is exercising a lawless prerogative in assailing the law-abiding American public for totalitarian aims.  FBI personnel appear to believe they are "untouchable" and that they operate "above the law," beholden to no one.

6. Can the Phoenix assassin in your attic space break out?

Answer:  If a Special Forces team takes heavy machinery to my roof, I'm sure it could be done.  But it would not be a quiet endeavor.

7.  This is the reason that ongoing threats of arson from FBI affiliates are so concerning.

Answer:  Yes, it is.  If the FBI can force us to leave our home, even for a short period, these men can be removed and their presence here erased.

8.  Why would that be a loss?

Answer:  We as Americans need to consider whether the three-letter agencies should be gratuitously harming law-abiding U.S. citizens -- and when I say "harm," I am including capital crimes.

The men currently within my home stand as critical proof of the existence of the Phoenix Program.

These individuals did not enter my home to wish me well or admire the view of the mountains.

They entered my home with the most violent possible intent.

And I will say right here and now, I don't watch horror films, and I don't desire to star in one of the FBI's design.

These men need to be safely removed from my premises on an immediate basis.

9.  What are the risks in their remaining on your property?

Answer:  They're fairly limitless.  The more time that elapses, the more opportunity the FBI has to extend false accusations toward my family members.  The situation is not sustainable.

Tomorrow, my family member is driving two colleagues to the Coast.

Both of these people are accepting remuneration from Infragard to file false witness statements.

Reasonable people can quickly assess that these two individuals will be pressed to misreport the nature of the conversation that transpires.

If those statements are filed immediately following this excursion, my family will need to worry about an unjustified law enforcement raid on my home tomorrow night, along with the violent potential that such raids carry with them as perpetrated by law enforcement.

We cannot continue to be placed in this defensive position of constantly trying to fend off the FBI's knowingly falsified law enforcement reporting.

We need intervention immediately.

10.  I mentioned the name of the Phoenix personnel said to be sequestered in your attic at this time.  Is there any advantage to naming the names of those who are perpetrating Phoenix against the law-abiding American public?

Answer:  It's not clear what approach might prompt the most urgent assistance.

11.  FBI affiliates have recently alleged that "no one is coming to save you."  What is your perspective on that assertion?

Answer:  Democracy can be best protected when those who support it work together, engaging in regular communication concerning goal-setting and progress.

And I will just observe that, when it comes to the human endeavor, we're all saving one another all the time.

It is the depth of our human bonds that renders our heroism possible.

12.  In other words, you maintain hope that you will hear from Washington, D.C. promptly.

Answer:  I do.

13.  You maintain faith in President Biden.

Answer:  I do, yes.

14.  Why is that?

Answer:  President Biden is striving, in ways seen and unseen, for the freedom of mankind.

So am I.

When I say that the endeavor requires courage in infinite amounts, integrity, benevolence, discernment, fortitude, and faith, I am speaking from experience.

I hope the American public can come to see how rare it is to have a President who possesses the qualities of character that allow him to fiercely defend our freedoms when facing this type of assault on democracy.

President Biden is a leader who is equal to this moment in our history.  We are immensely fortunate to have him as our Commander-in-Chief.  It is his presence that is giving the future of democracy, both ours and that of other nations, its chance.

15.  How would you characterize that chance?

Answer:  You know, our effort to defend the democracy has to be joined by every American who cares about our civil liberties and human rights.

The President cannot save democracy by himself.

He needs all of us to participate.

That means that the freedoms our neighbor enjoys must be as vital to us as our own.

Democracy hinges on this fundamental benevolence and goodwill toward others.

16.  Speaking of goodwill, you delivered blankets, food and water to your would-be assassins a few days ago.  Is that correct?

Answer:  I did, yes.

17.  Was that wise?

Answer:  I believe it was justified on humanitarian grounds, yes.

18.  Why is it important to you to extend humanitarian gestures toward those who planned to take your life and the lives of your family members?

Answer:  Because democracy is defined by our commitment to one another's human rights, as I said.  Those human rights include compassion, just as they include accountability.

19.  In your writings about the U.N.'s Universal Declaration of Human Rights, you have said that human beings should also have a right to the truth.

Answer:  We cannot defend democracy any other way.  And this is my point concerning the Phoenix Program.  The American public needs to learn the truth about Phoenix, or else their freedoms will be forfeit.

20.  Is there an objective truth concerning the Phoenix Program?

Answer:  The Phoenix assassins currently residing in my attic and crawl space stand as proof that there is.
