My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Current Threats Conveyed to Lane MacWilliams as of December 12, 2022

1.  What are the most significant threats you've been facing over the last several days?

Answer:  They're broad-ranging.  They include everything from the suggestion that my brother has lied to federal investigators, that my friends have perjured themselves in a similar manner, that AFE personnel have been falsely claiming to have been victimized by an unstable shareholder, that AFE personnel are being paid to delete their texts with their handlers, extensive death threats pertaining to my son Duncan in combination with specific details of his allegedly falsified witness statements at the direction of his handler, myriad threats involving the FBI's deployments of incendiary devices to burn my house down, ongoing threats of wildfire affecting my family's home in Portola Valley, on and on.

2.  May I see some of the death threats pertaining to your son?

Answer:  Yes.  I received these particular threats within the last hour:

There are many, many others.  But this gives you an idea of the content.

3.  What is the specific intent with regard to these threats?

Answer:  Well, I believe the intent is, as usual, to terrify people into silence.

4.  And what are the threats which, in turn, appear to reference falsified witness statements provided by Duncan?

Answer:  Today, there were some messages that suggested an adolescent was miserable from the age of 13 onward or the age of 15 onward, while his parents were oblivious.

And there was also this message, which appears to refer to a narcissistic mother:

5.  May I ask what it looks like when you receive a message that critical information is being erased by FBI affiliates?

Answer:  Yes.  My stalker will often let me know that evidence is being hidden by sending me a message about "Burning the Past" or "Book Burning."

Then there are messages which seem to refer to payoffs to delete material.

6.  And how do the arson threats appear?

Answer:  Here are a few examples:

Sometimes, in addition to visual images of burning houses, a music selection will begin playing on my iPhone that consists solely of the sound effects of flames.

7.  Some messages that you receive seem to be dispensing exhortations that you defend yourself from false accusations, remarkably enough.

Answer:  Yes, they do.  It seems as though my stalker attempts to level the playing field at times by urging me to state the truth publicly and repeatedly in the face of the FBI's disinformation campaigns.

Here are a few examples that arrived this afternoon:

8.  You must be exhausted after having been preyed upon by the FBI and affiliates for all this time.  The disinformation never seems to abate, and the perpetrators of those lies never appear to acknowledge their crimes.

Answer:  I think what's most challenging at times is my stalker's assertion that these crimes of predation are viewed as a "game" of sorts by far-right cohorts within the FBI.  The extensive harms these people perpetrate appear to be "entertainment" in the view of some who possess sociopathic or psychopathic qualities.  These may be people who are incapable of creating or sustaining healthy social bonds, but are perfectly willing to tear apart those bonds within virtuous American families.

Beyond this observation, it's a matter of extreme concern that physical harms may be viewed as "gaming" by certain FBI personnel on the far-right.  Many of these men grew up playing violent video games.  And, at a certain point, it dawns on law-abiding "targets of interest" that they may have been wrongfully dropped into the World of Warcraft-style fantasies of a number violent perpetrators who are drawing funds from the national treasury.

9.  Is it your opinion that this is happening?

Answer:  I regret to say that it is.  The slander and defamation -- the disinformation campaigns perpetrated by FBI personnel and affiliates -- these things are utilized to justify myriad harms in other realms, including physical harms.  The "disposition matrix" referenced by Edward Snowden and the "kill lists" referenced by Thomas Drake are probably one and the same.  They are likely unconstitutional justifications for harming the law-abiding American public at will for political objectives.

10.  There are other agencies which have utilized such "kill squads" internationally, and the CIA chief among them.

Answer:  Yes, my stalker has often seemed to imply that the CIA's "Phoenix" program is now being implemented by far-right segments of the FBI domestically.  I must confess that I don't know very much about "Phoenix," although I am attempting to read some books which fill out the historical picture.  It's necessary to be cautious when taking in this material, however.

11.  Why do you say that?

Answer:  It's a natural human tendency to universalize our discoveries about certain hidden social, political and economic systems.  Some authors on these subjects are quick to assess that the democracy has been irrevocably lost.  But I think the FBI's foray into totalitarian territory is counterbalanced by many good people within our country who believe wholeheartedly in the promise of democracy.  And importantly, I don't think the crimes of far-right personnel within the FBI against the law-abiding American public can persist once they are widely known.  The American electorate is unlikely to tolerate the agency's malfeasance.  So, the task becomes one of educating the public while it's possible to do so.

12.  Who stands on the side of democracy?

Answer:  Our wonderful President Biden.  The ODNI leadership.  OIG Hotline investigators.  Everyone who supports the truth in the face of rampant disinformation, bribes and intimidation is standing on the side of our democracy.

13.  Do good people stand a chance considering these fearsome odds?

Answer:  There's always a chance.  The American electorate might be informed of the FBI's violations of the Constitution, and might, as a result, demand a full accounting of the agency for its crimes against the law-abiding American public.  It's not the likeliest scenario, but it's not impossible either.

I think one of the biggest questions is whether we have the resources to get out in front of the sheer volume of disinformation the FBI produces.  If one particular "target of interest" has obtained hard evidence of FBI malfeasance, the agency will turn a laser focus on that individual in an attempt to discredit her.

So, we need to ask whether it is possible for one individual to survive the volume of character assassination attempts, never mind the attempts at physical harms, that the FBI is capable of wielding against her.  Of concern, it would appear that the agency tends to "double-down" on its lies rather than admitting fault.  As a result, segments of the agency appear to be acting in an organized crime capacity, indistinguishable in most ways from the ranks of that criminal cohort.

14.  Can one person survive the fake photos, fake films, falsified witness statements, falsely utilized DNA "evidence," all under the FBI's claims of protecting the nation from "national security threats"?  Can one person survive the FBI's false allegations that law-abiding "targets of interest" are somehow dangerous, unstable people whom the agency is justified in "neutralizing"?

Answer:  I think we're in the process of finding that out.

15.  I think there are a few good people who are rooting for you.

Answer:  I think there are, too.

************************************************************************************

At the end of my posts regarding the unlawful actions of far-right personnel within the FBI, I will be adding the following statement.  The FBI is a deeply divided agency.  There are many FBI employees who view their vows to the Constitution with the utmost seriousness and honor, and who strive to defend the fundamentals of our democracy with courage, fortitude and commitment.  The fact that some segments of the FBI appear to have embraced a lawless course is not a justification to assail the FBI in general.  The safety of FBI agents should be protected, just as the safety of the American citizenry should be protected.  As President Joseph R. Biden has so rightly expressed, violence is never justified in any circumstance.  The rule of law must always be honored and upheld.  It is our shared determination to preserve the civil liberties and human rights of ALL AMERICANS that renders the United States a democracy.  We must never abandon this promise.  All of our most cherished freedoms depend upon it.
