My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Restricted Access: OIG Hotline Only

OIG Hotline, after my receipt of a threat from FBI affiliates concerning an FBI-directed change in Graham's treatment, I received a call from Graham stating that Dr. Thomas Beck is attempting to place Graham on Olanzapine and Abilify simultaneously as of tomorrow, January 26, 2024. These medications are not meant to be given simultaneously, due to a harmful drug interaction between them.

I include below the information as to why these medications in combination are considered dangerous and can lead to sudden death in patients:

I spoke to Zach, the charge nurse in H2, regarding Graham's concern about these medications.  He seemed to believe that Dr. Beck and Dr. Dandekar would not be inclined to harm patients in this manner.

That said, I remain extremely concerned by the suggestion that this plan is being advanced by Dr. Thomas Beck with regard to Graham's care.  Please see my email communication below.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
