My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

Important Permissions for the OIG Hotline and the ODNI Sent Via Email

OIG Hotline and ODNI, please be apprised that it appears that certain attachments sent to your Offices' attention earlier today, August 1, 2024, appear to have been replaced by a third party.

I have attempted to re-send the original documentation to your attention within lanemacwilliams@gmail.com in an email with the subject heading ATTN: OIG HOTLINE and ODNI Investigators Confidential Re: Re-send of Permissions to Dr. Bibi Das and Staff Members; Request for Intervention, sent at 2:27 PM today, August 1, 2024.

It appears that "Judith," the alleged admin for Dr. Das, is not in fact Dr. Das' staff member, but rather a contractor who was meant to have filed a falsified witness statement after a phone call with me reflecting my earnest attempt to access unbiased care for my older son.

That phone call never took place, fortunately.

If it had, this false report could have immediately placed our lives at risk.

Certainly, after all my sons (and MG) have endured, it would be lovely to be able to access unbiased care for them on an immediate basis.

Thank you for accessing my email at your earliest opportunity in that hope.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
