My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

The FBI Attempts to Impoverish a Whistleblower Through Obstruction of Legal Representation

October 27, 2022

OIG Hotline, if you are able, please assist me in contacting Attorney Lisa Sherman of LaTanzi, Spalding and Landreth (contact information below) to ascertain the nature of the FBI's recent communications with her.  In accordance with professional guidelines, Attorney Sherman should assist me with the administrative legal matter described below, or she should refer me right away to an attorney who can.

I realize that the current efforts of the Investigations Division of the OIG Hotline are wide-ranging.  I ask for this support due to the fact that I have received ongoing and recent threats of property divestment by the FBI if I do not relinquish my role as a whistleblower of FBI malfeasance.

I very much appreciate any support your Office is able to extend.

Most sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

Contact information for Attorney Lisa Sherman is as follows:

Lisa F. Sherman, Esq., La Tanzi, Spaulding & Landreth, 8 Cardinal Lane; P.O. Box 2300, Orleans, MA. 02653, (508) 255-2133; Fax: (508) 255-3786. Email:  lsherman@latanzi.com

1.  You need to amend the Trust title of your family home on Cape Cod, but FBI personnel are preventing you from doing this.  Is this correct?

Answer:  It would appear so, yes.  The amendment is a relatively trivial legal matter, but it is important for the protection of the property long-term.

2.  You feel that, if the amendment is obstructed, the FBI could attempt to divest you of the property through various stratagems.

Answer:  Yes, I do.

3.  And this divestment could be utilized to impoverish your family.

Answer:  Yes, it could.

4.  It seems as though the FBI wields effective totalitarian control over many attorneys within the United States.  How has this happened?

Answer:  It appears that most if not all state bar associations are signatory to Infragard.  So, when a "target of interest" appeals to an attorney for any kind of representation, the FBI immediately steps in with a false invocations of the Espionage Act or the the Patriot Act in demanding that the "target" be deprived of legal assistance.

5.  This is clearly unconstitutional.

Answer:  It absolutely is unconstitutional.  We need to understand that the FBI has apparently filled its "target of interest" list with an overwhelming number of law-abiding American citizens.  It has further been alleged that the "target of interest" list is over-represented by Democrats and journalists, women and minorities.

6.  So, law-abiding American citizens are being selectively deprived of adequate legal representation, according to the preferences of the FBI.

Answer:  That appears to the be the case, yes.

7.  Are you willing to include your recent communications with Attorney Lisa Sherman of LaTanzi Spaulding and Landreth below, so that we can see an instance of the FBI's obstruction first-hand?

Answer:  Of course.  No problem.

8.  What is wrong with this communication as it stands?

Answer:  Attorney Sherman, under apparent instruction from the FBI, declines to help me with a relatively trivial legal matter.  And she further fails to refer me to an attorney who can assist.  This failure is unheard of with regard to attorney professional etiquette and ethical protocol.  It's just not the way things are done within the profession.  If an attorney cannot help someone, he or she makes immediate referrals.

9.  When you explicitly asked Attorney Sherman for referrals, how did she answer you?

Answer:  She didn't answer me at all.  Again, this is highly improper behavior from an attorney.  This type of stonewalling is just not seen within the profession when ethical and professional guidelines are being followed.

10.  Your stalker, who is reported to be a leading member of Russian-affiliated organized crime within the United States, has claimed that he wields "absolute power" over this situation.

Answer:  Yes, he has.

11.  What is your response to that claim?

Answer:  I guess I just need to state my belief that most Americans would find it unacceptable that Vladimir Putin and his Russian affiliates are apparently wielding sufficient control over far right segments of the FBI that they are determining which law-abiding Americans are able to access legal representation within the United States.

The equal and unobstructed access to legal representation is a foundational part of our Constitution.

Should Russian interests be able to deconstruct our Constitution in this manner through wielding control over corrupt segments of the FBI?

Somehow, I don't think so.

12.  What if your stalker does, in fact, wield totalitarian control over this situation?

Answer:  If he does, then I believe he should step forward into the public square and introduce himself to the American people as their unelected leader.  He should explain to every American citizen why he believes the deprivation of law-abiding Americans' civil liberties and human rights is in their best interests.  Afterwards, there should be a public discussion on the matter in order to see whether the American people agree with him.

13.  But you don't believe the American people would agree.

Answer:  The American people elected President Joseph Robinette Biden to the highest office in the land on November    , 2020.  They did so thoughtfully, lawfully, and in accordance with the Constitution of the United States of America.

In my opinion, they made an inspired choice in electing a remarkable leader who is striving in ways seen and unseen to protect and defend all aspects of our democracy.

President Biden was my personal choice on Election Day, but he is also democracy's best hope at this critical juncture in our nation's history.  His authority stands.  His integrity stands.  His leadership stands.

If Vladimir Putin and his cohort intend to challenge the legitimacy of the American peoples' choice, it is my opinion that they should be publicly, determinedly, lawfully opposed.

Re:  Amending Trust Title

Lisa, hi, I hope this email finds you well.

I have a quick question for you.  My brother Brian never accepted the Trustee position on the Janice E. Von Herzen 2010 Realty Trust, as you know.  However, he is listed as Trustee on the real estate title.

What would we need to do to correct the property title?

This is important for insurance purposes.

I appreciate your help,

Lane MacWilliams

Re: Amending Trust Title

Lisa, just a quick refresher.  You may recall we needed to remove my brother from the Janice E. Von Herzen 2010 Trust for non-performance.

Re:  Amending Trust Title

Hello Lane,

We do not have an active engagement on this matter and, regrettably, we do not have the capacity at this moment to take this on; we are down two associates in our department at the moment, and, as such, are at full capacity between now and year end.

If you have not been able to make other arrangements for assistance by year end, we could probably re-open the file to assist after the New Year.

I'm sorry we cannot accommodate your request at this time.

Regards,

Lisa Sherman
