My Third Novel's Conclusion, My Heartbreak

My heart begins to break when I think about completing this particular book -- because this narrative has sustained me like no other story I've known. It's both more personal and more universal than my other works. But beyond memory and archetype, it's a cri-de-coeur about needing to become the person one is destined to be. And in the writing, I have met my own life's work, my own fated journey -- having the sense all the while that the pages are suffused with a resonance, an energy, an electrified field that defies explanation. Writers hope and pray to be overtaken by a work in this way -- to be conscripted into passionate service of a profound story. To experience it even once in a lifetime seems a great privilege. I still have several months before this novel is complete, and this constitutes my reprieve. Because I'm not ready for the beauty to end.

A Critical Question Concerning Ana Tuifua in the Privacy Office at Sutter Health

OIG Hotline, I will phrase the following as a question for legal reasons.

Is it true that Ana Tuifua in the Privacy Office of Sutter Health is being separately compensated for her false testaments with regard to my seeking medical care through PAMF?

I include two letters I emailed to her on July 18, 2022, shortly after we spoke on the phone.  I have not heard from her since that day, despite my repeated attempts to access care.

Ms. Tuifua's assurances that either she or her supervisor would call me directly within one week to two weeks at the latest were not fulfilled.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is true and correct.

Ana, thank you for your call just now.  As I mentioned, I am seeking to see Dr. Tan because I believe she is a strong doctor who has rendered excellent care to me in the past.

I see the FBI as the instigator of the problems in this circumstance.  That said, it is important for medical care service providers to uphold the ethics of care, no matter the threats and/or bribes extended by third parties.

Dr. Tan's delay in following up on Dr. Preising's referral is concerning, to be sure, and I would like an explanation as to why this occurred. I don't believe Dr. Tan would have engaged in such a delay independent of outside interference with my care.  Please see my message to Dr. Tan, below.

Obviously, these actions undermine patient care -- and the trust with which patients can seek care in the first place.  And, for the FBI, this is the intent.

PAMF can rectify this situtation by re-establishing itself as an institution that prioritizes patient care over and above remuneration extended by Infragard.  I need prompt communication from your office regarding any and all communications from the FBI that have transpired concerning my care.

Obviously, if Dr. Tan has accepted remuneration through Infragard in return for delaying my care, that is an extremely serious matter.  If such events have transpired, your office should immediately recommend that I see an expert PAMF physician who remains uncompromised and is committed to remaining so.

I cannot be safe in accessing health care through PAMF without PAMF's full disclosure of FBI communications with PAMF personnel regarding my care.  It is only through full disclosure that I can be assured that my privacy and security are being upheld by all involved in my care.

For your reference, the FBI's "target of interest" program seeks to co-opt Infragard partners in causing active harm to "targets."  Clearly, in medical settings, such protocols can involve disastrous sequelae.  When such directives are extended in the name of "national security interests," physicians, and indeed, institutions, can become confused about their ethical obligations.

When the FBI is engaging in falsified law enforcement reporting within the "target of interest" program, the virtuous are being targeted, while the criminals are carrying badges.  No one expects such reversals.  Yet, as Einstein said, "Blind belief in authority is the greatest enemy of the truth."  This sentiment applies rather compellingly to the FBI's malfeasance.

I will follow up with you to let you know the content of my conversation with my husband regarding these concerns.

But, again, I would very much appreciate a call back from your Privacy Officer with full disclosure on an urgent basis.

Thank you very much for your call today.

Sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams

Quoted text:

"Thank you for your reply, Dr. Tan.  And thank you, too, for your compassion over the current whistleblower situation.

The threats have been extensive, I'm sorry to say.

PAMF is signatory to Infragard, so the potential conflicts of interest are quite present.  Nonetheless, I require uncompromised and responsive care.

Did Dr. Preising's message reach you?  I'm curious about this, because she seemed intent that I be seen by you promptly.  And it is not like you to let something like this wait.

Thank you for clarifying this point for me.

Lane MacWilliams"

Ana, I have spoken to my husband about this matter, and I wanted to get back to you right away.

He and I agree on the following:

If Dr. Tan has spoken with anyone from the FBI regarding this matter, or has taken compensation from Infragard, or arranged to take compensation from Infragard, in return for any role pertaining to my care, I need to ask your office to contact me immediately with that information.  If that is the case, I will need to seek an outside referral to an expert and uncompromised specialist -- one who will refuse dialogue with the FBI, FBI affiliates within PAMF or anyone associated with Infragard.

Likewise, if anyone within your imaging department, including Prissy, has engaged in dialogue with the FBI and/or Infragard or their affiliates regarding this matter, I need that information on an immediate basis.

Given PAMF's signatory role to Infragard, and given the FBI's apparent co-opting of medical partners to cause harm to "targets of interest," this is information I need to have prior to extending trust to PAMF in a clinical care setting.

As you and I discussed today, confidence in quality of care can only be re-established with openness and transparency.

My ability to maintain my appointments tomorrow and Wednesday will be predicated on your answers to the above queries.

The FBI's "secrecy agreements," alongside Infragard's compensation to "informants," matter much less than PAMF's commitment to prioritize care for patients through honesty, ethics, and integrity, eschewing all conflicts of interest.

Indeed, my health and safety are dependent upon PAMF's commitment to these principles.

Thank you for getting back to me on these questions right away.

Sincerely,

Lane MacWilliams
